I normally just find a solid bar to post up at. Don't really get too wild no matter which city I'm in. Haven't decided where I'll go in NOLA yet. Prob hit some places uptown early on though.

Uptown NOLA is the shite, though. Slutty Tulane girls are much different from the tradional SEC/southern schools and the alcohol flows pretty easily.
Sounds like just what I'm looking for.

we generally end up at shady's, mike's, or reggie's when everything else sucks.

We partied on Bourbon on the summer and didn't really like it. New policies have made it harder to drink and the strip clubs weren't all that great. Downtown NOLA is a great place to take a date, I'm sure. It's the only city around with nationally aclaimed restaurants, high end shopping, etc.

Without a doubt you should utilize NOLA since it's only 2 hours away with traffic. I was just there during the Arkansas vs Alabama week before driving up to Tuscaloosa for our beat down....
New Orleans is better than Memphis but Memphis is ultra close for all of Arkansas if we want almost the exact same vibe.
That's the large plus about Fayetteville. For a weekend get away you have 4 lane highways to Tulsa, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Memphis, Little Rock and Dallas are within 4 and half hours.
Plenty of options to try something different from multiple pro teams to restaurants and night life.
Kansas City is fantastic for food its where a lot of people say the North and South meet for many reasons. Kansas City is nothing like St. Louis they are completely different towns. KC has a southern/mid-west feel to it St. Louis is completely Yankeeville.

I don't think I can even get into any of those anymore. I stick to the londoner and hole in the wall bars

New Orleans is better, agreed.

i guess i'm just not a huge fan of bourbon. everytime i've been it's too packed, there are a ton of thugs out, and the people out seem a lot older. i'd rather party Uptown.

Hell if I know. It was like 20 feet off bourbon. Started with an R? I was drunk when we arrived and was the whole time. I didn't know the name, just where it was located.

It only gets much worse as you get older.
I prefer the restaurants and hotel bars.

See what I'm talking about with the lukewarm feel towards USC when playing our Hogs...
We've played Missouri only 5 times in over 100 years but at least that might be more exciting than USC.
Heck, and it's still 5 hours 35 mins away from Fayetteville.
