MSU has done a damn good job clearing that hurdle, they are 3-3 vs AU since Gus took control.

Even in Cam's magical season, they were a dropped pick six from seeing that dream die in Starkville. That game is almost always tightly contested.

A&M probably hates State the most right now because they can't beat State. They're hoping this is the year.

True. Yet Auburn does have two SEC West Titles during that same time frame to State's zero, so I'd still say Auburn has the current upper hand.

And let's be honest... catching Auburn historically is not really attainable at any rate. MSU is actually 4-3 against Auburn since 2012... but prior to 2012, Auburn had won 11 of the previous 12.... 23 of the previous 30.... 43 of the previous 57... etc.

Auburn more than doubles them up in the all-time series.

Lots of Ole Miss fans say the same thing. Your thin veil of faux superiority is not thick enough to hide your angst over losing to State every year.

It's really not. Yes, the series has been tight the past 7 years (MSU 4, AU 3) but the games have not really been close.

State's wins were by 5, 8, 14, and 18 points.
Auburn's wins were by 4, 24, and 39 points.

Only twice in seven years has it been decided by a TD or less.

and prior to this recent sign of a pulse by MSU, Auburn had won 10 out of 11 meetings. Average Auburn victory during that stretch was 18.9 points.

If we're looking at teams to be disliked it's gotta be based on fanbases.

1. Georgia - just as obnoxious as Alabama without the same pedigree.

2. Alabama - miserable people and 90% of them weren't even fans during their 6 year losing streak to Auburn. The bandwagon is quite strong! Seriously the majority of Turd fans fit the following descriptors: never went to the University, never lived in Tuscaloosa, don't follow any of the other sports, and they buy their gear from Walmart.

3.Florida - every year is their year... except it never is. It took an act of God, Tebow, for them to be any relevant over the last two decades.

4. Tennessee - again, they seem to think it's their year every year and listening to Rocky Top 100 times is similar to how I envision hell.

5. Mississippi State - another team constantly overhyped and the damn cowbells are enough to put them in the top five.

6. LSU - dear God these people are miserable if you go to Death Valley. Obnoxious and they continually fail to beat Alabama when they should. Yet, they'll beat Auburn everytime they have no business doing so. Also, their coach speaks some weird gravely alien language and they're okay with it.

7. Arkansas - have they ever done anything? Their pig call thing is cringe-inducing and they just feel like the redneck cousins you wish you didn't have.

8. Auburn - I love Auburn but dear God I can't stand the portion of the fanbase that makes everything about Alabama comparisons. Also, the Gus sucks deniers are just as bad as the Flat Earth believers.

9. Missouri - they're always so eager to argue they'll be relevant. They are always "okay" at best. Lock will be a bust. They're really just a non-factor of a fanbase to me.

10. Texas A&M - I really haven't interacted with them much. From all accounts they're not too bad.

11. Ole Miss - they were sort of annoying in their peak but now I just pity them. Well, somewhat, it was pretty obvious they were paying recruits for a while.

12. South Carolina - I don't much care for Muschamp but the fanbase is whatever. Haven't really interacted with them much but I like that they're the Gamecocks.

13. Kentucky - Literally never talk with Kentucky fans. Their basketball team and fans should move them higher up the list but they're typically irrelevant in the football world. They were kind of crybabies the one time they almost beat Auburn in like 2010.

14. Vanderbilt - I always pull for Vandy but I've never met a Vandy fan. One hell of an academic school. James Franklin really did the best he could there.

It's funny, because of all the redneck fan bases in the SEC, Arkansas fans are the redneck cousins I'd most like to hang round a fire and drink beer with.

to you, pigs.

**Ole Miss fans are interesting to me. Obviously they hate MSU the most. LSU probably next. But after that, who knows? I'm guessing similar to their in-state rivals, they hate Auburn because Auburn has always been the team most likely to catch of the 3 Western powers (UAT, LSU, AU).

meh, it's not what it used to be, but Rebs held a grudge against Tubberville for a looooong time

South Carolina has still never defeated Auburn in SEC play (0-8 against them since '92). Not sure if that causes them to hate Auburn or not.

Not at all. We'd be full of hate if we felt this way about every team we have a losing record against. We choose ambivalence instead.

LSU- Okay the real question is who is LSU's 3rd biggest rival. We all know they hate Alabama and Aggie the most. They'll downplay the A&M rivalry as not a big deal, but anyone who's spent 5 minutes on the SEC Rant the past 7 years knows the truth.

Florida. Easily for me
