It's not really about the trees, its the fact that they are killing a tradition. Yes some new trees can be planted but its not the same.
Actually this guy said the power washing was killing the trees and they probably wouldn't have lasted another 10 years or so.

Not cool. kinda funny, but really not cool. Those trees never hurt or bribed anyone. It will be a class one felony too as the vaule for big oaks like that is in excess of 10k
