If so, it's for the best... an optimistic Vol fanbase is much more pleasant... and means I get laid a lot more frequently on college football Saturdays. As much as I enjoy chatting with you guys, giving you shite, and watching the train wreck that was Butch Jones... when UT sucks, my wife doesn't on Saturdays.

They beat the whole defense all night. Clemson looked like they thought the game was suppose to be on Saturday instead of Friday night, they just got beat. I don't think there was much about that game that Venables could change. Eric Dungy had the game of his life. I remember two times that Clemson got beat over the top that game, so I wouldn't say repeatedly.

Even in games that Clemson wins they get beat on deep balls in one on one situations, just like every other team in the country. It was just funny to me that you picked the Clemson/Syracuse game for your example, I think that's the only game a lot of non Clemson fans remember
