Oh I didn't think of that but you're probably right, especially since I'm flying the UGA banner as a draftee/newborn pup.

There are 8 former SEC backs in the Top 20 of the league in YPC. Fournette isn’t one of them.

He head absolutely zero impact for the Jaguars today, and that was in a blowout.

Odd for the greatest running back to ever play

Fair enough. Shows how much attention the Jags get paid.

Only a couple, maybe one (Gurley), is a starter. The other I believe is Ingram but he shares a lot of carries with Kamara. It would be really fun to play in the Saints offense right now

I knew a dv was coming but I'm genuinely curious. One of you lurking downvoters should have the nuts to explain. I get dv's when a post is insulting but not when a post praises backs.

LOL... currently at 6 downvotes just for talking about downvotes.

It's the new millenial rage entitlement program, bro.

They all have over 100 rushing attempts on the season.

ETA: except Kamara

I suppose so. I just don't understand why people are averse to explaining themselves. If a post is neutral or positive downvoting is bizarre.

Kamara has 87
Drake has 90
Cam has exactly 100

100 carries in 14 games is not a lot of carries. That's about 7 per game

Kamara will be an all time great if he stays healthy.

As a Saints' fan I love Kamara, but Ingram is the Bell cow in New Orleans. He's seriously underrated.

Kamara - 99
Drake - 106
Cam - 114
Ingram - 204
Collins - 174
Crowell - 179
Henry - 140
Gurley - 257

With teams working 2 backs and how focused NFL offenses are on throwing the football, I think there are a ton of backs in that 7-14 touch (don't forget receptions) range.

How is that relevant? I guess I’m missing your argument. Help me understand.

ETA: and Drake isn’t a backup.

I agree that he's underrated and the workhorse style back. Alvin is a different kinda RB. That said, AK is putting up the kind of numbers that you don't see from a rookie (the rookies that have put up similar rookie numbers have typically wound up in the HOF).

BUT I'll say this, AK couldn't do his thing without a back like Ingram.

There are 13 RBs in the league that average 15 or more carries per game. Only one of them averages 5 yards per carry, Kareem Hunt averages exactrly 5 yards per carry. 5 of those running backs average less than 4 per carry, including Le'Veon Bell. Most of them are in the 4.0-4.2 range, including Fournette.

yes, as of a few weeks ago

Because it's a lot easier to have a higher ypc mark when you're not getting starter carry numbers
