Not sure why he would leave Louisville but he's a good but not great DC.

Louisville had the 14 ranked D this year. And as we've seen through the bowls they have the better conference and offenses right now. Especially after seeing Clemson slice up "the greatest D of all time" in the championship.

Eason throws for 400 and 4 touchdowns against State.

Chubb and Michel and co. split 200 between them.

He's not. State's not going to pay him what he's making at Louisville

Grantham weighed down pure talent with pure scheme.

Agreed. He was not the best at adjusting his scheme to his players. You can get away with that shite at the pro level, but in college you have to call a defense that you know your players can execute.

Maybe he's done a better job with that at Louisville, but Chubb and Derrius Guice didn't have much trouble gashing his D in the bowl games.

Wait...Eason shreds?

He had a few 300 yard games and he'll definitely shred that shitty D you'll field at MSU if Todd Damn. Grantham comes

Lol we're talking defense here. You already have higher ranked defensive players at State, without recruiting a soul.

I don't know if Grantham would be a great hire, but I know for a fact that he would be a huge improvement over what we had.

I think State is a perennial bottom feeder that not even Vince Lombardi could bring from out the ashes for a sustained period of time. State topics should always be discussed on the MSU board because lets face it, they don't affect the conference.

Except we're not a bottom feeder

Why not? You think Louisville is letting him go, or he'd take less money to go to State?

Are MSST fans actually talking shite?

I'm impressed. Your team is goddamn awful.

Most GA fans ignored others warning of Chaney and now most see the light, the dude is super mediocre.

Take the advice of those here...Grantham is a very mediocre DCoord and while he might be an upgrade, will still leave you with the 4-5th defense in the SEC West.

Do you not understand what I meant, when I said "huge improvement"? Our defense ranked in the 120's in '16. We would have been better off with no DC last season. Grantham's worst defense ever was ranked like 65th.

I'm saying he may take a small cut in pay to get back in the SEC, and to recruit a little better on defense.
