The 20th ranked team gave the #1 team their best game this year.

Yeah, you need to be 201 lbs in my class and I don't see it. Same with intelligence.

...but Pitt lost 4 games, so the playoff system is perfect.

Well that would be an obvious mistake so there's that. the lesson that should be learned is tOSU should not have been in. win your conference if you want to get in.

Exactly right. And the best two teams will play for the title.

I disagree you left out two of the hottest teams in the nation at the end of the season. Penn state and USC. With a 8 team playoff they would have got in and created alot more excitement

Losses matter...what you're saying is that early losses don't matter. Shouldn't be the hottest teams, should be the best teams across the season. While I could see an argument for Penn State getting in as the B1G Champ, I can also see the argument of them being left out after having not only 2 losses but an absolute spanking by Michigan. USC has no argument this year...3 losses and got destroyed by Bama...while it looks like they're a different team now, those early losses have to mean something or why play them...

OldPete don't waste your time. The jealousy among fans of the "left out club" are always gonna bitch and moan.

LSU fans know they're going to lose 2-4 every season now so they're begging for it to expand.

It proves the playoffs are stupid. No need for either of those games aside from a money grab, and OSU had absolutely no business being there

so you think they should bring back the BCS?

remember how people would bitch and moan about being left out of the big game....well the playoffs gives 2 of those bitching and moaning a chance.

Ohio State's loss means Clemson was better. Clemson is moving on. "Problem" solved.

Last night doesn't make every lower ranked team better than they were.

I think LSU will get back enough to make the playoffs soon but in the meantime, its not just Lsu fans. It's fans from all over the place bitching and crying like babies how the playoff system is rigged. It's just unreal. They bitched about how we needed a playoff system and now they got one and they still crying lol.

It's not about how you play for just part of the season though.

Lol, I remember when Miss State upset #4 Texas A&M. Therefore I think we deserved a playoff spot. Its not what you did the entire season right? Its all about "promise" of making the playoffs more "interesting" lol.

Well said.

But when top teams in a league all have losses, and you are going to insist on putting one in, at least take the conf champion

But if the BIg 10 champ who beat OSU comes out and crushes USC, it will prove to me expanding isn't neccisarrily a bad thing

That will only tell me that the CFP committee didn't do their damn job. I didn't think OSU deserved their spot in the first place.

No it shouldn't.

It is moronic to make kids who aren't being paid play an NFL long schedule. Besides that stupid system would effectively kill the season.

If you aren't good enough to be considered top four then try again next year.

Enough of this hypocritical charity system you guys want.

Frick you for even thinking that.

Remember they are STUDENT athletes.
