What are you talking about?

This isn't about LSU. This is about years like 2014 and future years that will be similar

Not necessarily. What if Penn St comes out and blows the doors off USC?

Not really.

2014 OSU proved the #4 team according to a group of human beings was actually the best

Ok let me be clear. I like 4 team playoff. Objectively speaking, #5 and #6 have no claim to be a National Champion. I'm with you (I think) on the committee thing -- I preferred the polls/bcs computers to the committee thing and think it should decide *4* teams. No more. A 4 team playoff almost guarantees (nothing's absolutely perfect) on the field that we will see #1 and #2 play for the NC. I like it. Even if we don't get in, I still like it. It gives us the best chance that we'll see #1 vs #2. If I want to see #1 vs #8, I'll wait til the NY Giants are in the playoffs and hope they make it to the Super Bowl. But that's just my preference.

Hope that makes sense. Because otherwise, you're just trolling.

welp, so so you simply are a bama fan that just want it easier path

This is very different from L6U fans who cried about replaying Bama and not getting the easy win with OSU.

You guys definitely didn't want an easy path there.

It is like you don't even see your own hypocrisy.... but it's so thick I just find that impossible?

No it doesnt. It proves that there's no reason to pick a team that didnt win it's conference. That's all it proved. Perhaps Penn St could have managed to score on Clemson

How many teams now do we get in playoffs? If we do 6, then next time #7 and #8 gonna make their case why they should get in. Hey, I know, let's be politically correct and let in 75.

Clearly though, Ohio State had a better resume. Not by much but they did have a better one. Otherwise, we can just play the Transitive Property National Championship.

What about the LSU team that played Florida?

I remember they were suppose to crush "UForfeit" because they were all of a sudden one of the best.

You're the most delusional of the bunch.

I get your point. And generally I agree

But in 2014, when 6 teams have 1 loss, we really are just guessing at top 4. I hate guessing and not deciding it on the field. In years like this, where the top 4 are clearly defined, I am fine with 4

But it isn't always like that. 2014 I think TCU was deserving of a shot,

A better resume and got beat by a playoff team. And good, too. The system worked fine. The best 2 teams in the nation will play for a title. Anyone still crying needs to go fk yourself and get over it.

I don't think anything is clear. That's why Penn State should have been in v OSU. Id rather people speculate that tOSU should have gotten in because they didnt win the conference. It's not the NFL and too bad it you're the hottest team now. that's why ballsy teams play power 5 OOC in the beginning of the year. Sorry USC you got better but you still sucked when it all started. By the tOSU logic USC should have gotten in. Better resume. Oh but they beat UW and head to head doesnt mean shite just ask Penn State. if Bama doesnt skull drag USC early most ESPN pricks would be clamoring for them to be in.

It's not surprising that Bama wouldn't want anything changed. They are rolling right now and always get the benefit if the doubt if it ever comes to it. The irritating part is when fricksticks like Ystar act like everyone is on an even playing field and that somehow Bama fans are more objective because their program is winning more. It's ridiculous.

Last year's semifinals weren't all that competitive either.

I want the four best teams in -- a conference win is a bonus and doesn't prove that you are one of those 4 best teams. What if Florida would have beaten us in the SEC CG?

Agreed on your last sentence. Gz, if we would have won by a score, the noise for USC would have been horrific.

The irony of this entire discussion is we did have an extended playoff.

Alabama knocked USC, LSU and Washington out of the equation.

Clemson knocked Louisville and FSU and OSU out of the equation.

Ohio State knocked out Oklahoma and Michigan.

Washington knocked out Colorado.

Penn State was knocked out by Michigan and a bad loss.

Michigan was knocked out by OSU and a bad loss.

That is what makes college football great. The regular season matters; literally every game. The strong survive.

What some of you want to do is turn college football into a charity participation league which will continually expand because crybabies saying "not fair! We were left out, make it 64 teams!".
