I hope we bring him in and let the best man win. It's obvious that this coaching staff doesn't have much confidence right now today in either Brennan or Narcisse. I'm not saying that either one won't end up being ready to play at some point, but when you go out and want to bring in Burrow that says a lot.
I'm just tired of this QB shuffle that we have been playing over here for what seems forever! We actually lucked out with Danny Etling or it would have been even worse!

Honestly, it seems likely that O has promised Burrows more than just a chance to win the starting job. The kid has options, and he's likely researched LSU and O's current situation. He has more leverage than O does. Whether or not he'll use it, I couldn't say, not knowing what kind of person he is. But I doubt he left his dream school just for a chance to beat out 3 other QBs who had stars next to their names coming out of high school. If O didn't promise the kid a piece of the moon, I'll be very surprised.

Just basic logic. A syllogism, if you want:
A) Burrows has options for where to transfer and left OSU because he wasn't at the top of the rotation.
B) O is in a precarious position as a coach
Ergo
C) O probably promised Burrows more than just a chance to compete in order to lure him.
As I was careful to note, it's just supposition. But A and B are pretty close to accepted wisdom and fact. Wasn't trolling at all, just analyzing.
