Saban would have had Alabama in the playoffs the last two years and the Tide would not have taken so many arse whoppings.
Yes, we remember Niclky Bitch's crying.
"We're Alabama. We didn't win, but we deserve to be in the playaoffs. WAAAAAAHHHHHH."

Got beat? That doesn't begin to describe what Indiana did to Alabama. Bama looked like a Sunbelt team. That was the type of beating that can spell the beginning of the end of a coach's tenure and set a program back a few seasons by causing players, fans and recruits to lose all confidence in what the coach is selling.
At LSU, Nick Saban got dismantled, at home, by Dennis Francione 31-0. It was a bloodbath. The next season Nick Saban won a national championship at LSU.
In January 2019, Nick Saban and Alabama got dismantled by Clemson in the national championship, the most watched game of the year, 44-16. Just dominated. Alabama went undefeated and won the national championship in 2020.
People here put way too much importance on individual games.

So now Bama fans are saying Saban sucked ?
No. He was the best college football coach of all time.
Or just one of the best cheaters much like John Wooden and UCLA basketball.
Saban was the best cheater in college football and once he couldn't cheat b/c of NIL he split.

You still don't get it.
Big difference b/t a program like Clemson (who cheats as much or more than any programs and always has) and Indiana.
You didn't get destroyed by a blue blood. Bama got destroyed by the program with the second most losses in the history of college football.
Somehow by your logic that means bama are the favorites to win the natty next year?

Here are the stats for Julian Sayin and Ty Simpson:
Julian Sayin:
1,872 yards
19 touchdowns
3 interceptions.
Ty Simpson:
2,461 passing yards
21 touchdowns
1 interception.
That isn’t even close to correct.
Julian Sayin
Ty Simpson
It isn’t that you got it wrong, it is how badly you whiffed.

You have lost all credibility in this thread.

Missouri's major NCAA violations center on men's basketball (Frank Haith era, leading to vacated wins and postseason bans) and academic misconduct involving a tutor for football, baseball, and softball athletes (resulting in postseason bans and recruiting restrictions). Key issues include impermissible benefits from boosters (housing, jobs, iPads) and a large-scale "paper class" scheme in the African-American Studies department benefiting athletes. The university has faced multiple infractions over the years, with recent major cases in 2016 and 2019, showing a pattern of monitoring failures and booster involvement.

Indiana football has a history of NCAA violations, notably major recruiting infractions in the 1960s under Coach Phil Dickens, leading to harsh penalties like probation and recruiting restrictions, while more recently, the program has self-reported numerous secondary violations, including electronic recruiting issues and improper benefits in the late 2010s

Texas Tech Football has a history of NCAA violations, notably a major case in the mid-1990s involving lack of institutional control, ineligible athletes competing (including in football), academic fraud (impermissible proctoring), extra benefits (free legal/dental, loans, cars, meals), and recruiting violations, leading to self-imposed sanctions like a postseason ban and vacated wins, with consequences spanning several years and sports, creating significant issues for the athletic department and its compliance structure.

So please keep preaching to us that schools like Missouri, Indiana and Texas Tech have always been on the up and up and daddy Government stepped in, made everything equal against evil Alabama, USC, Texas, and now you are going to win a national championship

Well I searched julian sayin vs ty simpson stats and that came up?
The point is ty simpson isn't some bum QB and you're still a clown.
In fact, without Ty Simpson this year Bama loses at least two more games and that includes the game vs lil ol mizzou. Simpson saved your arse that game with some of those throws as much as the refs saved you gumps that game.

Anyway, let's get back on topic, OP is a bitch and gives Alabama fans a bad name. The reasonable ones realize that Saban's run was unsustainable and that Deboer deserves a little more time to get his guys and system in there. If we're still seeing the same stuff in year 5, we can revisit this

The biggest issue Bama currently has is the same issue LSU had the last 2 years. The lack of a running game. That isn't gonna change with Ryan Grubbs calling plays. Here are the rushing rankings of Ryan Grubb offenses the last 6 years.
2025 Alabama - 125th
2024 Seattle (NFL) - 28th (out of 32 teams)
2023 Washington - 106th
2022 Washington - 69th
2021 Fresno - 91st
2020 Fresno - 108th
It's a scheme issue.

And you thought to yourself “a guy with 1800 passing yards, less than 140 yards per game, finished 4th in Heisman balloting.” You have lost all credibility.

Thanks for getting this back on track. I agree this is a very big issue and has to be addressed this off-season. I could change my opinion on Deboer if this doesn't improve a little next season. Not expecting a crazy change but need to see something

KD sucks arse and needs to be fired ASAP.
The issue is not KD. It’s Greg Byrne for hiring him.
The issue is Coach Saban made a spur of the moment decision to retire and left the program at the worst possible time.
Instead of having Saban involved in the interview and hiring process, Byrne was panicked about getting anyone onboard to keep players from bolting.
They bolted. You know who they were. If we still had those players the outcome this year would have been different.
We live in a total new reality. Schools like Indiana who I’m guessing their BMD can outspend Bama’s BMD three times over bought a team full of mercenaries. On top of that, put a coach like cignetti who is a clone of Saban, and you have 38-3.
I’m old and have seen great Bama moments, things in college are turning NFL like. Expect to go decades before you sniff another run at a Natty unless the BMD, if they can open their wallets and hire some mercenaries like Indiana.
Congratulations to Indiana, awesome teams.
