That worked well for Clemson in gaining a lead on us, the Pitchfork Ben back stabbing and defunding of the Columbia campus, along with the all male military ROTC model of the time ... it worked well for Clemson right up until the end of WWII.

But then ...

Given SC fans always mock Clemson for being the 'ag school', it is funny you say Tillman backstabbed SC by advocating the ag college be relocated to Clemson.

Tillman did advocate the continued funding of SC and also while he was governor, SC added engineering programs which had been prohibited by the state.

It seems like Clemson is much better today than it was at the end of WW2. lol

Literally everything you say about Clemson is not accurate.

So does Clemson, and he was a Clemson graduate.

So you're antifa now? You want to tear down his equestrian statue at the state house too? There's a ton of stuff named for him all over the state, USC is not special in that regard. You probably voted for Shillary didn't you.

lol....I'm just pointing out SC fans are hypocritical when they bash Clemson for Tillman Hall.

you don't care about that....you only talk about it for negative recruiting in football.

lol you edited your post while mocking me for editing my posts...

meant to point out that somebody who supports renaming buildings or taking down statues is not necessarily a member of anti-fa.

i support changing Tillman Hall to Watson-Renfrow Hall to promote racial unity.

Or to Old Main because that was its historic name.

Or to Clemson Hall given Thomas Clemson created the university and a statue of him is located in front of Tillman.

I'm eternally amazed at what his IQ must be. Once in a lifetime level. I'm certain of it.

Judging off the post in here, I’m going to say the good folks at CU are more educated and have more common sense than the USC people.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen “sheep humper” & “sister fricker” in here.

NOT CLOSE to Tillman in any way, shape or form.
aND I dont have an issue with naming buildings after either...I get that they were men of their times when it comes to race issues.

Here ya go in regards to your namesake

quote:

Tillman Hall towers over the Clemson campus

Ben Tillman was a horrible, horrible man. A traitorous paramilitary leader, a domestic terrorist, and a murderer

quote:

, the one-time "officer" in the paramilitary group known as the Red Shirts spoke fondly of his murderous past, often celebrating his lead role in the slaughter of several African-American men — some militia members, others National Guardsmen — at the 1876 Hamburg Massacre. He also famously bragged about assassinating an African-American state legislator. Clearly, Tillman was proud of his role as a villain

Every African American who gets recruited or steps foot
on campus should know the history of this horrible human being.

I see you share in the delusion that your dumbass ACC brother displays.

Even the slightest modicum of common sense and education would dictate that y'all understand that this is an SEC board but those facts evade your abilities to comprehend even the most basic of basics.

Wade Hampton used the Red Shirts to intimidate black voters so they didn't turn out.

He only barely won election. So SC has a building named after a man who cheated via thug tactics to win an election.

WOw

The interesting thing about most people lobbying for buildings to be renamed or statues removed or banning Confederate flags is most of them vote for the Democratic Party.

They have no problem asking black people to vote for a party with that name. The Democratic Party was the party of the Confederacy, slavery, segregation, Jim Crow, lynching, Red Shirts, KKK, etc.

Quit upvoting your own posts, fricktard.

And you can deny and deflect all fricking day. It still won't change the fact that y'all obviously idolize white supremacist trash.

Ok,still not close to bragging about lynching and murdering blacks.

Not a Democrat and I would think anybody regardless of political affiliation, could see that this guy was pure evil with no redeeming qualities.

I wouldn't blame any coaches that use this against Clemson in recruiting.Dabo should lobby to have his name removed from that building asap

ok

i'm sure it has been used but obviously not working very well. lol

UGA has some monument to Confederates right next to campus on Broad Street. lol

Don't forget Clemson's campus is on the former slave plantation owned by John C. Calhoun who once said slavery is a good thing for black people.

Ho Chi Minh trail reloaded.

...and no, that isn't racist. I'm not making fun of GT for having a lot of ethnic Asians, I'm making fun of GT for having a lot of people from Asia. Those are two different things.
