Also even though "outlaw Josey Wales" is awesome if you eat Mayonnaise on your fry’s that cancels that out and would be further proof of your yankeeness.....

Who in the hell eats mayo on their fries?

The first place I ever had fries with mayonnaise was in Europe. I thought it sounded absolutely disgusting. I was surprised - it's actually really good.

To the OP - welcome, more Missouri posters are always needed. But this topic? It's been analyzed and dissected to death. People have opinions, and they're not going to change them.

Although the story of the red-legs, and how kansas would wear red socks every year for their games with us, got a little southern pride up.

I was born in Greeneville TN. I have family in TN and Florida. I have nothing against the South at all. I love the south.

I am just being honest.

Quantrill was born in Ohio, don't think he lived there long.

He was a Missouri Bushwacker. He was a Confederate and fought the Union army on the Missouri Kansas border.

Apparently..

And it would help if reading comprehension was used.. because multiple times I've said and reiterated that Missouri is not the true south. I think I've made my point enough, no need in repeating again and again. Not my fault if people can't comprehend.

Looking at the Baptist map, Missouri is completely different from the states like Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. I believe religion and personal beliefs are faaaaar more superior than what someone calls a drink. Religion shapes a persons way of thinking, naming a drink, is well naming a drink.

Funny how you went back and quoted something from multiple posts back between us... why didn't you quote from our most recent discussion?

Missouri was/is a mixed state.. but the slant was in favor of the Confederacy. Sorry.

Very true. Missouri vs Kansas was the precursor to the civil war. Guess which side was for the Northern Cause and which side was for the Southern Cause. Not hard to figure that one out.

Very well made point.

Yes Missouri is largely baptist, like the south. Calling a carbonated beverage a coke, soda, or pop is a huge part of culture but religion shows a lot more about the mindset.

If you think we are talking about the Civil War when we say you aren't a cultural fit for the SEC, it just proves the point.

It is and its availability in Missouri is the largest thing I like about the state.
