re: To all you people calling for Mizzou to be kicked out and calling us racist.

At first I did not know what you were really talking about since this is not football related. But, if sincere then you lost any chance of sympathy or support with those last sentences. Good luck with your situation, don't follow in Penn State's footsteps and allow it to be trial by media - nip it in the bud!

So let me read this right from all the posters
We have racist things going on all the time at our schools but our African Americans act like good little black boys and girls and keep their mouths shut and go to school or practice because they are lucky to be where they are
Now get your arse on the field and risk your future health and safety while we make 100s of millions on your hard labor while we continue to tell you you should be damn lucky you get to go to our school with our people
Racism is not a way of life. It's not an inherent trait. It's taught and enabled by the worst elements of human society

This is how I read the situation at Missouri
There obviously has been a lot more of this then these couple of incidents. For whatever reason the African Americans are fed up. They don't feel like enough has been done. So they stage a protest or whatever. But what does that do. Nothing. You can't boycott classes. Nobody fricking cares if you miss your classes
So what's the strongest African American groups out there. Probably the athletes. So they stage a protest. Now everyone is up in arms because you are hurting our school. You're typical lazy ghetto black people. Blah blah blah
There obviously is something not right going on there. They should have been working with the students not having weeks of meeting in some white tower
In regards to the penn state situation. A fricking coach was raping and fricking 13 year old boys in the gym locker room for years and years and was left unchecked by all the people who could have done something about it and the thoughts on here were to nip the media in the bud
Jesus. What the frick is going on here in the south

Funny, they didn't mind the administration when it was turning its head to football players raping another athlete at Mizzou.
But I guess that doesn't count because it's the welfare of women on campus instead.

The interesting thing about this is the fact that Mizzou has the top journalism program in the country and is directly responsible for many of these sensationalist journalists.

Wtf? Every person has earned their right to be there. it wasn't some lottery
I don't think it's too much to act to be treated with dignity or respect
I am, starting to see where the frustrations are coming from. I guarantee you there has been more than these incidents. Guarantee it

I think you've posted this a few times in the past 24 hours. It's a bit misleading at best.

You totally missed the reference but reading your mindless rant explains how that happened. Things are great here in the south.

I'm with you on that. Don't get me going on the way women are treated too
And the casual attitude towards violence and sexual assault
I'm sure there were women there that tried to do something about it
It's time people and especially the southerners here. Racism and sexism need to go. These "traditions" need to stop. Quit making excuses and be a little more active in preventing in

I got nothing against Mizzou you just don't belong in the SEC. I hope the conference kicks you out. It would serve two purposes...
Getting rid of Mizzou
Watching the rest of the nation melt about how racist the south is for not supporting Mizzou in their ridiculous protest.
You know this is driving Pinkel crazy having to pretend to support this bs.

In regards to this situation. I'm sure there are players who don't want to do this protest. There are players who feel so strongly about it that they came up with this action
I'm not judging if it's wrong or right, but I don't think I have the right to tell these students how to feel and how to act either. And sorry I'm guesstimating most of the posters here have never been in their situation so it's pretty pretentious for you to tell them how to act or feel
Hell I used the word southerners on purpose and it's all up in arms in here. people don't like to stereotyped with a broad brush or belittled. " but it's only words, get over it". I read all the time on here. Imagine if that was the n word to a black person.

Southerner is far from offensive, I am proud to be one. Your "racist" view of us is as despicable as what you are attempting to defend here. As I stated, continue, this could not be going better.

I still find it extremely ironic that Missouri as a whole has had so many race related issues within the past year and are, mostly, considered yankees.
We've had some of the same, or worse, issues down here in the South over the past year and not one episode of looting, rioting, boycotting football, etc. And we're supposed to be the ones that are racists.
Not pointing fingers at y'all, Mizzou, or your state. It is just ironic that the situations have played out like they have considering the country, as a whole, has a very different view of the North vs the South, even today.
In all honestly, I may pick at y'all about issues/being kicked out of the SEC, but I do feel for y'all and the stress and tension this is causing among y'all. Hopefully this finds itself resolved quickly and things return to "normal" for y'all.

I support Missouri. Your administration is in a difficult position that is symptomatic of the social demise of our entire nation. What is happening at Missouri could happen at any university but probably won't because other administrations will be addressing/appeasing the conditions that led to the situation at Missouri. It boils down to liberal progressive brainwashing of our society aka the pussification of America. And we need look no further than the clusterfrick in Europe to see where this leads.
And for the record, I absolutely support the right of the black Missouri players to civilly/appropriately protest what they perceive as injustice but I also recognize that they should be prepared to suffer the consequences of their actions. A scholarship is a contract between a student and the associated university and to my knowledge there is no clause in said contracts that allows for student athletes to hold your university hostage by refusing to honor the athletic part of the contract. There are plenty of recourses for students with concerns that don't require breech of their scholarships.
