That is another SEC fan Myth. UO never designed their stadium to be loud. They designed it to be cheaply built and thus did not have enough money to make it bigger around the field. That is why the field is so small and hardly any room around it. Thus the fans are right over the top of you feeling wise. Another even greater reason is because of the fans. Grandma's do not go to these games like in SEC land. Almost every single fan is standing the whole entire time yelling their guts out all while forming the sign of our "O". LSU fans are legendary for getting into a game as well, but you have not seen our fans. We take that to a whole other level. The acustics are incredible at UO, for sure, but that was a accident and not by design. Fans + Stadium = the loudest venue to see a game.

The Oregon "O" face. Usually done when they get fricked by the SEC.

Stanford, Cal, USC all won a Championship this last year. Also If you did now know, there is a thing called the Directors Cup which gathers the points for all sports across all of land. Stanford won it and I think Cal got second or third. So literally one can say the best all around Athletic program is found in the PAC for 2010, and the 2nd or 3rd best too. Not to mention our nickname for our Conference is called, "The Conference of Champions" for a reason and that is because we have more Championships in all sports in all history. And the 2nd best Conference is a whopping over 200 titles short of us. Translation: the gap is extremely large between the PAC-10 and the rest for all sports.

That's because you west coasters count all of those pussy sports. You guys rule mens gymnastics, don't you?

Ya, actually USC has 2 AP titles the last few years, not just 1 as the AP did not take that Bush era one away and gave another to them when you all at LSU won yours that 2 loss season.
Ummmm...NO! LSU won the AP and BCS title in 07. USC didn't even finish in the Top 2.

And then the PAC will just continue doing what they always do: Scheduling hard

you do that the sec will keep winning national championships

Bingo. You just nailed it. It is your secret formula. Almost all SEC teams do not have to play any real teams all OOC season. That pads stats and records. But if you did have to play actual teams OOC, you might, wait..... LOSE. And your chances of making a title game go out the door.

that would be a great argument - if it had any resemblance to the truth... let's see who the recent SEC champs played ooc:

2006 Florida - FSU
2007 LSU - Va Tech (raped em)
2008 Florida - FSU, Miami
2009 Alabama - Va Tech
2010 Auburn - Clemson

And considering Oregon plays some awful filler teams in their out of conference games (note this year and last year for example) - you really have no room to complain

I only started this OP because it got old seeing SEC rantards saying over and over that the PAC-10 is pathetic. Ya, the same Conference that has beat the SEC more often this last Century. Pretty pathetic to do that, yep.

I think you're confused.

All-time records of SEC teams vs. the PAC conference:

Bama: 13-5-1
AU: 4-2
Arkansas (since '92): 0-2 (boo, Pigs!)
UF: 6-4-1
UGA: 10-4-1
UK: 2-0
LSU: 13-3
Ole Miss: Never have played a PAC school.
MSU: 1-2
USCe (since '92): Have not played.
Tennessee:14-14-3
Vandy: 0-1

All-time: Six SEC teams have winning records vs. the PAC, three have losing records, one has a .500 record.

PAC teams vs. the SEC:

Arizona: 1-5-1
ASU: 0-3
Cal: 6-11
Oregon: 4-5
Oregon: 0-11-1
USC: 16-10-1
Stanford: 5-1-1
UCLA: 12-12-2
Washington: 1-7
WSU: 1-7

All-time: Two PAC teams have winning records, seven have losing records, and the one tie (UCLA).

To the point of your thread title, I'd say the PAC is indeed, pathetic. And you need PAC to spell it.

3. The SEC boasts the highest Win% against the Pac-10 of all other conferences that have ever existed. LINK. Roughly translated, this means that we fricking own you.

4. Only Arkansas, Moo St., and Vandy have a losing record against the Pac-10. (same link as 2)

5. Arizona, Arizona St., Cal, Oregon, Oregon St, Washington, and Washington St. have a losing record against the SEC (with UCLA at .500). (same as link 3)

6. I don't understand why you posted the first set of records when the second set included all stats present in the first.

what's the latest?

alll i know its 21 days to a beat down on the ducks in dallas.

it seems like the troll took select games that when the SEC did in fact lose to the Pac-10. I always thought we had the Pac 10's number. I have been to all the LSU games vs the Pac-10 since 79 and I recall us only losing one of them and that was USC in 79 which we should have won. We beat Washington twice during that time frame, arizona twice, ASU, OSU, and pretty soon Oregon.

Well, I was actually reading this until I decided i really don't give a frick. But one thing did catch my eye...

quote:

Of course not, why would I be? AU played a great game and did beat us by 3 points in a game winning field goal. AU played us well and deserve the credit they got for winning.

Auburn played like shite. Seriously, Auburn played like shite and still won.

the pac 10 is far and away the best conference after the sec, and is pretty damn close to the sec.

They just now got this distinction with the falling apart of the Big 12. I think the PAC 10 is closer to the Big 10 than the SEC.

It's fun here, GP. Besides, the conference expansion stuff is changing the landscape of CF for everyone. If A&M goes, who's next?

Will OU and oSu go to the PAC 12? Will Texas Tech and Baylor follow?

This is all good stuff. Usually, all we have to talk about is 2003 LSU vs. USC this time of year. This is a much better subject.
