Dude you are effing delusional, the TV Networks love CFB because it represents "cheap programming" (in the TV World vs original programming) and it is highly profitable
As long as the TV Networks are willing to pay big money for college Sports, some College some where will give those talented players a scholarship so they can try to get $50million per year from some Network
You're wasting time getting angry and dreaming for rich folks to ignore the BIG PICTURE in their industries to adhere to your childish, pettiness

Tigerpride18 I'll answer your questions. It's not racial, it's about respecting the country and those who have died fighting for our freedom. It's about trying to take away the history of our country, good and bad. It's about trying to strip religion out of our society, destroy the nuclear family and force white people to apologize for something we had nothing to do with. I don't agree with kneelers and SJW's, black or white.
The one racial comment I will make is that black football players don't know how good they have it. They also don't realize how quickly it could all be gone. They live a lifestyle that 95% of us white people could only dream of. So f*ck any of those players that want to talk to me about white privilege when black football players are about as privileged as they come.
I can't comment too much on baseball because I don't really follow baseball. I don't follow MLB at all and for college baseball I pretty much only watch some of the Regionals, Super Regionals and CWS. Here's what I can tell you though, if they are pulling the same kneeling and SJW stuff that football players are doing and I followed baseball I would be done with baseball as well.
As for why I'm still here, is there somewhere in the SECRant or TigerDroppings TOS that I have to be a rabid sports fan to post? I never saw that when I signed up for the site but you're more than welcome to show me in the TOS where it says "you must be a big sports fan to post on SECRant or TigerDroppings forums". You show me that, I'll leave.
I've lurked on this site for a long time and being furloughed I was bored and decided to start posting. Outside of football season I rarely view the sports forums on either SECRant or TigerDroppings. Mostly I look at the O-T and Political Talk forums and occasionally I'll look at the Travel and Saints forums. I'm a Saints fan (or at least used to be) and an LSU fan (or at least used to be) but neither are the primary reason I'm on this board.
I'm on this board because it's a well run board that is full of diverse topics (especially non-sports) and lively discussion. It's one of the better boards on the Internet and I enjoy the banter. Notice something that was missing in that reason, sports. I'm not here because it's a sports board. Honestly I find the non-sports boards to be more interesting. Again I only occasionally view the Saints, LSU and SEC boards.
But again Tigerpride18 please show me in the TOS where it says I can't be on this board if I'm not going to follow sports anymore. You are the one who seems to be presumptuous, assuming that the only reason people would join this site is to talk about sports. I believe many on here read and post regularly and hardly ever read or post on the sports forums.

I'll answer this for you, yes I do. College Athletics, including college football and basketball, aren't about the individual players. It's about the school, the pageantry, the traditions, the fans and the coaches, more than it is about the players.
Compare CFB to the NFL. In CFB the coaches (at least in the South and Midwest) are essentially Gods whereas in the NFL the coaches aren't really well known outside of coaches like Belichick, Payton, Reid, McVay, Tomlin and Shanahan. Those are the only head coaches I could name from the NFL off the top of my head. In CFB though when we talk about the past it's not usually about the players. It's about the coaches. We remember coaches like Saban, Bryant, Meyer, Bowden, Spurrier, Paterno, Rockne, Leahy, Fulmer, Hayes, Schlembechler, Royal, Neyland, McKay and others.
You go to almost any school in the SEC or Big Ten on a game day and I guarantee you a fair amount of the people there didn't even go to the school. You think most of the 100,000 fans you see at LSU, Alabama, Ohio State or Penn State went there? It's not just about school pride, in many ways it's not about school pride at all. Those teams represent the state and it's about state pride to many fans. Regular students or paid mercenaries, that doesn't change.
I honestly think some of my passion for LSU would come back if it was regular students instead of paid mercenaries. I think a lot of fans feel the same way. You act like the current system works so well yet all across the country (including the SEC) TV ratings are down, attendance is down and bowl game attendance is a joke.
I can tell you this, regular students aren't going to skip bowl games. They'll cherish bowl games since it will be the last time they play with their teammates. Regular students will play their hearts out for their teammates and school without worrying about their stats or how it looks to NFL scouts. Regular students aren't going to trash and belittle the boosters that donate money and make it possible to play the game.
Yeah, at this point, after what I've seen, give me regular students over the paid mercenaries any day of the week. I don't think it would hurt college football. In fact I think it would be just the opposite, I think it would save college football.

If the President needs to go on TV to tell people to wash their hands and not touch their face then that is a behavior problem to begin with. I knew that shite in elementary school.
