Time To Bite The Bullet On 2020

Not only should the 2020 team sports season be cancelled in football and basketball, etc., but all schools should seriously consider continuing online classes only instead of on-campus attendance. We have not gotten the virus under control because of politics; and now the EU's 27 countries, which have paid attention, will not allow American travelers in.
2021 should be the earliest time we should consider resuming on-campus college attendance for everyone. Classes first, sports last.

It’s all politics. NO PUBLIC GATHERINGS...unless you want to burn down Minneapolis or Atlanta or just tear some statues down. That apparently magically makes COVID-19 disappear.

Your idealism doesn't line up with Reality
The facilities arms race at the P5 Level has created a lot of debt that needs to be serviced by P5 Athl Depts
They can't just lose March Madness AND turn around and lose the CFB Season in back-2-back hits
If that happens , maybe 65 out of 70 P5 Athl Depts will be financially decimated, that happens then most Non Revenue Sports are gone for awhile, maybe gone for good
Can't wait until 2021, unfortunately this is the Curse that the MAGA Hat wearing crowd unleashed on America when they put an incompetent a-hole in the White House, an a-hole whose Ego wouldn't let him listen to Medical Experts months ago when we had a better chance to control this thing
He's such a simpleton that he refused to even wear a Mask to at least set a good example for others to follow, this a-hole refused to do that
The next time you see an idiot wearing a MAGA Hat, thank them for the situation we are in

God I love your hate and your despair.
Hate me too buddy because I haven't worn a mask and won't wear a mask. If masks were so important then how come it took until May for Fauci to start recommending them? It's all political. Masks don't do a thing and they aren't needed anyway. It's the freaking flu.
Do you remember back in March and April when Fauci even said that he didn't think masks were necessary? Of course it shouldn't shock me, leftists like him are all about moving those goal posts.
After the way these athletes have acted the last month I'm okay if all sports are canceled in 2020. Let them be reminded that they need us a lot more than we need them. A month ago I was desperate for college football and NFL, now I could honestly care less if they ever come back. I'm good if sports never come back. Let those entitled brats have to earn their living like the rest of us.
So you can thank you, I'll be more than happy to help prolong the pandemic as well! As long as I keep getting my enhanced unemployment money I'm okay with this thing lasting until 2021.

Same. I'm 45 and in fairly good shape. The only change I've made is that I have hand sanitizer in my truck that I use when I get in it.
