Yea it'd need some tweaking. I think A&M and Mizzou get shoehorned in lieu of more traditional rivalries. But everybody plays everybody within 2 years instead of the current 6-year timeframe, so a lot more evenly distributed

East (Auburn, UGA, UF, UT, Clemson)
West (Bama, LSU, A&M, Texas, Oklahoma)
Nine conference games (everyone plays everyone) with 10 teams.

Very Simple. The reason Mizzou wasn’t sent to the west is bc Alabama doesn’t want to swap Auburn for Tennessee as their cross division rival. They realize if they did this they would have a comparable schedule to LSU year in and year out and that would mean less division championships for the tide.

Have a North and South Division:
Missouri
Tennessee
Kentucky
Georgia
Alabama
Arkansas
USC
All in the North.

I remember the East being dominant in the 1990's with Florida and Tennessee running the show and ruling the SEC pretty much. But, it wasn't as solid from top to bottom as the West is today.
I don't thnk realignment will happen except maybe moving Missouri to the West and Auburn to the East in the future.

To repeat what others are saying, what would you base the realignment on?

Put Bama back on probation for handing out cars and the talent won't go there. Saban will be fired, the talent with spread back out in the conference and all will be like it normally is.

Does 1 top-10 finish in 10 years really qualify as top-10? If so, then the SEC-W has more than 4.

I remember within the last decade when LSU, Bama, and Arky were 1, 2, and 4 in the last week of the season.

Missouri has won the division twice and SC once. UK finished second to Georgia last year. And the East had a winning record against your supposed division of death last year. Maybe you should stfu and leave the conference alone

Since the 2 big sticking points are AU/UGa and UA/GaSt's biatches, just swap AU for UT.
Puts a top tier team in the East and let's every other team in the West have a FCS-like team to be a 'rival'.
AU/UA keep their Iron Bowl.
I know. Too simple for a Skankey.

quote:Because the rest of the conference is too whiny to play a 9-game conference schedule which would allow Bama to keep the TSIO and IB. If the other 11 schools would agree to a 9-game schedule it would be a done deal.
Yeah I have no clue why auburn and Missouri don’t switch.

Flip your idea because the SEC WILL NOT end TSIO nor IB - which is what'll happen if Aub. heads east.
Posted on 9/1/19 at 9:00 pm to hsgeoboy
Because you're forcing Alabama to end TSIO or IB with whomever they choose as c-d rival.

As long as you dump SC as a rival for Ga. - never has & never will be!

No - it means the end of TSIO or IB (depending on who is chosen as the c-d rival).
