True. They only care if you are a Christian. Not all, honestly. But they seem to want to tear down and ridicule and eliminate others beliefs. You know, the things some people criticize Christians for.

They don't get uncomfortable or self doubting when faced with people who don't believe what they believe.
Sure they do, or they wouldn't start the Freedom From Religion Foundation. They wouldn't try to change Christmas Break at school to Winter Break or Solstice. Don't kid yourself. Atheists can be just as "uncomfortable" as anybody else.

And, FTR, I don't get uncomfortable at all. I can sanely and calmly discuss my beliefs with just about anybody who is willing to discuss them calmly and sanely, and with respect on both sides.

That's one of the best parts about it. People do write ups about his charitable dealings from time to time, but he doesn't seek them out. Unlike most modern athletes, when that one time a year at Christmas that they give back and they have a camera crew following them as they do so. Then, they rush to put it on social media to let people know what they've done.

If you're truly a good person, you do things out of the kindness of your heart and don't seek attention for your kind acts.

He didn't own any media.

You give him a mic, and he is going to use it. But it wasn't his mic.

The media fed off the controversy that was Tim tebow. But tebow didn't do anything other than be himself. And thats a shifty thing to get stirred up about when the guy is a good dude.

He absolutely is a good guy. I live in Mobile and my son’s 7th grade soccer team went to a Senior Bowl practice. With the exception of a few guys, most players ignored the kids. Tebow came over and high fived each kid, asked what their name was, and thanked them for being there. 100% class.

He is a class act. He takes a lot of criticism over his religion and he just lets it run off his back and continiies to follow God and do what he believes is right. He is a wonderful person!

He has been everywhere this week - speeches, visits to churches, special needs dances, etc. Awesome human being.

Why, though? The media talks about athletes that fish, hunt, play golf. What they eat before big game, chase women and stay out late drinking and partying.

So, why is it so horrid that he talks about his faith? You do understand that the media asks him questions about it, right? So, essentially, you hate him for answering questions other people ask him.

You are wrong on two levels here.

1: I'm not atheist. I'm agnostic. There very well could be a higher being who set what we call our universe in motion but it's also just as likely that there isn't.

2: I really don't care what other people believe unless they are trying to force others to live by their beliefs. Basically, don't try and force your mythology on me or anyone else and I don't care if you believe in extremely absurd shite like the earth is flat.

3: You've never seen atheist start wars trying to spread their beliefs. Can't really say the same about the other mainstream religions.

Not true, and even if it were that doesn't make them right about everything. There is no definitive way to make that statement, though.
But, just for a moment, let's say there is. Let's say atheists had higher IQ. What does that mean? There was a time when the smartest people in the world thought the earth was flat.

(FTR, I have a brother that is left handed. He is not a President of the United States, so I keep a close eye on him)

I think the last time Christians did this was about 700 years ago, and that was more about land and power and less about faith. It might have been done under the auspices of faith, but that doesn't mean that's what it was.

As for point #2. Tebow never tried to force anybody to live by his beliefs, and as a whole Christians do not either. They hope people do. They might even talk about their faith in hope you will become a believer. but I have never personally witnessed a Christian holding a gun on anybody and forcing someone to accept their faith. There are many instances of Christians being told to renounce their faith or be killed, though.

Nor have I tried. And neither has Tebow, so your point is moot.

Mythology. Funny word you chose for someone who claims to be agnostic.
