That's because offensive numbers > defensive numbers

Not in Arky's case.

Which makes him a dual threat QB

A duel-threat QB who still does not equal the production of Ryan Mallett.

Let's call him a Quadruple Threat. I don't care. His stats still don't surpass those of Mallett.

:tear:

Go get a box of tissues. Tebow's still the better QB.

All you're doing is getting yourself further butthurt.

Stefan Lefors put up some of the best numbers in the nation playing in Petrino's system. Doesn't mean he was the best QB that year.

I'd be complaining more about being 6-4 than one of our players getting passed over for a stupid postseason award.

We are in a rebuilding year, with two very winnable SEC game coming up.

I'll take an 8-4 record during a rebuilding year.

BTW. Where exactly does it state that ALL-SEC awards are based purely off of production.

Why do you think we have the Heisman AND the Maxwell award? Both are said to honor the best CFB player of the year......but they don't always go to the same person.....hmmmmmm...wonder why.

I've seen several Florida posters on this site say that Tebow is part of the reason their offense isn't doing that great this year, FWIW.

Hope she's not anything like Mustain's mom.

The top 10 passers in college football history are, in order, Timmy Chang, Ty Detmer, Colt Brennan, Philip Rivers, Kevin Kolb, Tim Rattay, Luke McCown, Chris Redman, Kliff Kingsbury, and Byron Leftwich. Clearly having the best stats = being the best player.

zing.

I guess Graham Harrell deserved the Heisman last year. He's clearly the greatest QB in the history of football with his TD records.

Here's a thought........maybe people realize that Petrino runs a system. Hell, Arky fans even talk about how terrible Casey Dick was and he threw up some great stats.

None of those players played top-15 defenses week-in and week-out either.

I don't know if Mallett will be first team or not, but he definitely deserves some recognition.

According to WooPig, that doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is stats.

Lol?

I think he had more INTs than interceptions. And most of his passes were 5 yard slants to DJ Williams.

He does deserve some recognition... but this year it'll be on the second team because of Jes- er uh Tebow. Being second team in the SEC in your first year is a great accomplishment, IMO.

Next year he'll be the hands on favorite for the first team and all will be well in Hogville...

He threw for 2800 yards. Which is about a 30% increase yards than he threw for in 2007
