Of course the likelihood of misses is going to go up with the amount of attempts, 29/33 and 19/21 is kind of meh, pretty similar, both excellent.

If you want to give it to Walsh for the extra points, fine, have no problem with that. Its good for Tiffin, but in the end not a big deal to me if they had given it to Walsh.

I think walsh was 4/5 from 50+ yards.
How was tiffin?

Again...I'm not complaining...I just think Walsh deserved it more than Tiffin.

Then again, I am a UGA fan. :)

Tiffin missed PATs ( as in more than one). I think missing one PAT should automatically disqualify any kicker from any recognition at this level or beyond. Other than that, Walsh was 19 of 21 with misses from 38 and 55 yards. Tiffin was 29-33 with misses from 36, 39, 43 and 49. Walsh was 4 for 5 from >50 yards. Walsh also had a far greater touchback percentage ( 25 to 15) even though he was having to kickoff short half the time due to UGA's imcomprehensible kick coverage strategy.

Basically, Rex Robinson was right; this was a lazy pick. Bama was a better team with a less efficient red zone offense and a less TO-prone QB so Tiffin gets the postseason recognition.

I agree with you but i think it probably had more to do with critical timing of the kicks made, and i believe Tiffin had alot of those. Dont forget we won lots of games off nothing but field goal kicks, i remember because we could not buy our way into the endzone at mid to late season
