Would agree with the following tiers?
(Criteria being ability to win consistently, facilities, fan support.)
I think the top 2 tiers are pretty clear. The only muddy argument here I see is Arky and USC having difficulty getting to the top. I know a lot of Auburn fans will be butthurt from this, but it's pretty much true. I also know some jackasses will come in here and have the reactionary, "TENNESSEE SUCKSS!!!!one1." Fact remains that UT is a big national name and can still recruit.
1. UF
1 Bama
1 LSU
2. UGA
2. Auburn
2. Tennessee
3. Arky
3. USC
4. Ole Miss
4. MSU
4. UK
5. Vandy

Why LSU in Tier 1???? Put Bama and Florida in Tier 1... LSU belongs in Tier 2 until they win ONE more.....
Also, UGA may be dropping to Tier 3... No NC in the BCS era...

Seems accurate. If UGA would contend each year for the SEC they would be in the upper tier.

Looks right, but why is UGA over AU?

UF is not 1st tier.

Auburn is not 2nd tier, maybe 3rd or 4th.

I'd say this is a fairly accurate summation of each program's potential right about now.

Due to recent performance.....Michigan would be in the 5th tier

Why? LSU won more than bama has this past decade. LSU won the same amount of BCSNCs that UF won.
How is UF in tier 2 to the other guy who said tier 2? Not historically. RIGTH THE frick NOW, this is the undisputable tiers of how easy it is for teams to win.

That's about as laughable as his notion.
OP has it right. It's a fluid dynamic, it's all based on potential, but for right now I'd absolutely agree with those tiers.

No.
EDIT: I didn't see 2000-2010. However, you can't win one more bc it is 2011.

You need to specify your time frame. If you're talking about right at this very minute, like recently within the past 5 or 10 years, things are going to look a lot different than if you mean all time.
All time, Georgia only trails Bama and Tennessee for sure, and is right there with LSU behind those 2.

I'm pretty sure this is a still frame for right this very second.
