I mean 01 was pretty bad too (31-7). Good edit adding the 40+ years part. But the fact is Bama has man handled Auburn several times in the series. More than Auburn has done to Bama as a matter of fact. It happens man. Its not just "one game out of 69.

And Auburn could have beaten bama by 20+ in 05 if Tubs didn't go into Tubershell mode for half the game.

In modern era football, it has rarely happened (you know the whole scholarship limits... or games you would have been alive to actually watch, considering you have no idea what the 1976 game looked like).

"It happens man" Yeah, twice in your lifetime.

Just except that it's not the bear and its not the 70s anymore. Mmmk?

This further reinforces my point actually.

Football is not a science. Just because something hasn't happened often doesn't mean it can't or won't.
And it doesn't matter if I was alive for a game or not.

You put your foot in your mouth and didn't know wtf you were talking about. Now you're trying to backtrack and just throw out stuff because I wasn't born yet? Lol

It didn't take the bear to whip that arse in 01 or 08 mmkaayyy?

true, but I don't ever recall the Bahr choking away a 24 - 0 lead either.

I'd say you got your arse whipped in the first half, and benefited from Bama shooting themselves in the foot in the second half. Realistically, you were extremely lucky Bama didn't score a couple more times in the first half, which would have put it out of reach anyway.

You won. Congrats. But I wouldn't be crowing too much.

We're talking about in theory here, not practice. In theory, I SHOULDN'T crow too much if my team got lucky and squeaked out a win. I'm going to hold whichever a-hole it was I was talking to in this thread to that standard, whether it's realistic or not.

I'm just glad it wasn't AU that chocked away a 24 point lead.. I don't even wanna think of all the t shirts, and Daniel Moore paintings that would go along with all the ragging from bammers.

I'm sure it would have been officially proclaimed at the greatest comeback, in the greatest game ever played, by the greatest team ever to play.

You should be. It's a miserable feeling. I started getting nervous in the 3rd quarter when I saw how tight Bama was playing. But I didn't think they would actually LOSE.

I did help to negate that 36 point arse kicking we took a couple years ago.. That was a miserable feeling.. I turned the game off early when Kodi was crushed on a sack.. I couldn't watch a team that had just quit playing and packed it in for the rest of the year.

So, what was the biggest comeback for Alabama vs. Auburn... Was it 2009 and the 0-14 hole Alabama was in???

What is Alabama's biggest comeback ever?
