What the hell does that have to do with Louisiana State University refusing to sign a black player until a full year after Alabama and the same year as Ole Miss?

I was fortunate enough to go to Athens, Knoxville and Baton Rouge that season.

Add in the 36-0 streak buster Iron Bowl and that season was as much fun as I've ever had in my life. Well deserved for all us, I might add.

Similar experience for me. I was basically gifted tickets from a faculty member that year. I missed out on Knoxville, but was able to make it to the CFA kickoff vs Clemson, then road tripped to UGA, Arkansas, LSU, and then got to go the Iron Bowl. Unfortunately, I also went to the Sugar Bowl arse kicking in New Orleans. Getting embarrassed by Utah is a lot worse when experiencing it hungover. That whole year felt like it alleviated years and years of pent up frustration and heartache.

It's twitter (which is basically morons saying moronic stuff). I'm not sure how anyone could really be surprised by what pops up on a twitter feed.

Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana all integrated their public schools in the same year - 1963.

They did the same thing to John Parker Wilson and Tim Tebow, too. In fact, IIRC, Chicken had to make a rule against posting phone numbers of players and coaches because it was happening so frequently.

Bama fans did it to Mettenberger in 2012. He did the little phone celebration after scoring.

Most Bama and Auburn fans don't think every in state player that doesn't go to Alabama or Auburn is a traitor. It seems to be a common mentality for the LSU and OSU fan base.

Do you have a link to that video from last year of all those drunk LSU rednecks on the field harassing the Bama players after the game? Asking where Tim Williams was and shite

To be fair, that’s a fairly well understood phenomena. Most LSU fans are acutely aware and unashamed of their feeling of betrayal when a player leaves the state.

I’m no authority on much of anything except my refrigerator. But LSU fans, at least on this website and TigerDroppings, have been pretty open about it.

Tigerdroppings is your source? There you go.

I wouldnt say MOST lsu fans even have a TD account. Most LSU fans avoid it like the plague.
