The NJCAA National Player of the Year announced her commitment to the Crimson Tide in a social media post Thursday evening.

Livingstone has both speed and power as an outfielder. She hit .526 with seven home runs, 57 RBIs along with 32 stolen bases at Florida SouthWestern State as part of the Buccaneers' third-place finish at the 2026 NJCAA World Series. During the world series, the centerfielder hit .714 with seven RBIs. She is the player in Florida SouthWestern State program history to be named the NJCAA National Player of the Year.

The outfielder is originally from Coquitlam, British Columbia. Livingstone was on the Team Canada roster for the 2024 WBSC World Cup. She spent two seasons with the Buccaneers and will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Crimson Tide. During her freshman season at Florida SouthWestern, she hit .443 with 31 RBIs, 32 stolen bases and 64 runs scored.

Livingstone is Alabama's second commitment out of the transfer portal, joining former Tennessee left-handed pitcher Kailey Plumlee.

I pray to God she isnt a slap hitter like our CF from this past years team. We need someone who can drive in runs and hit for average.

Softball players and their tranny lover defenders love to say hitting a softball is so much harder than hitting a baseball but I routinely see those kinds of averages.

In baseball a hitter is King at .380

Just food for thought:

In college baseball a .380 average doesn't get into the top 10.

Baseball generates more runs per hit; this is why averages are higher in softball but ERAs are lower.

The #10 team ERA in softball (2.45) would be significantly ahead of the #1 baseball team ERA (3.22)

I'm not saying it's harder to hit a softball; however, it does appear harder to hit it with the same amount of power (which makes sense, considering the pitch is slower - less energy imparted at the time of contact as well as a softball being larger/less aerodynamic than a baseball).

Bats are different widths as well

Baseball = bigger barrell and smaller ball
Softball = smaller barrell and bigger ball

It’s impossible to compare the two because of the gender difference.

A baseball player can quickly learn to hit a softball but that doesn’t mean it’s easier to do because the man is being compared to women.

But if you’re just asking if a baseball player would be better at softball than a softball player would be at baseball the unequivocal answer is that the baseball player would be better at softball.

There used to be men's fastpitch semi-professional teams. They of course threw harder and hit farther. Their fields were larger as well.

There was a older guy who was small-town legend at fast pitch. It was something to see.

When girls softball started becoming popular he started giving private lessons.

I have a Hack Attack Pitching Machine lil bro.

I have a Marucci Asura.

I can set that pitching machine up at 70mph at 35 feet and within 20 attempts i'd be hitting dingers on Softball (little league) fields all day

I’ll be pissed if LSU diverts any general fund NIL to softball. If you have softball-only boosters then cheers to you.

These are stats subject to the quality of the pitchers and catchers that she went up against.

D! softball typically has pitchers who can throw 62 to 72 mph plus and have movement on their pitches.

These stats may merely translate into a .300 to .350 hitter in the SEC.
