Tim Foley and Bob Neal did the early ones.

Nothing was better than a braves game in the evening on a warm summer night....grilling some steak and skip Carrey and Don Sutton calling a game...john rocker coming out of the bullpen like a freaking missle....man those teams were so good and should have had armfuls of world series trophies...

College football can thank Oklahoma and Georgia for being able to see their favorite team on tv. They took on the NCAA and won.
Unfortunately Georgia and Oklahoma can also be partially to blame for College Football becoming a gazillion $ a year industry which is now a developmental pro league for the NFL.

A Lawyer Tillman touchdown was on the preseason promo. I can't remember what I ate for lunch 2 days ago, but I remember Lawyer Tillman being in the SEC on TBS commercal 35 years ago.

I remember those TBS days and Jefferson Pilot. The production quality was often a joke. I think that was part of its' charm.
I would set up the TV on my screen porch on warm fall Saturday afternoons and make an afternoon of it. Come to think of it, I still do that now.
