Florida lost 11 scholarship football players after our game, on September 21st, 2013, to season ending injuries.

It was at Florida.

It was Butch Jones' 4th game coaching Tennessee.

Florida was ranked #19 in the country at that point.

I will continue to put my chips in on Butch. Thanks for the encouragement, though.

I'm not going to argue semantics as I don't really care but you don't have to lose by 3 TDs to get blown out. A good example: Ole Miss beat Tennessee 34-3 and Texas A&M 35-21 but Tennessee actually gave us the tougher game.

Anyways, it took Butch 2/3rds of the year before he realized his best QB was on the bench so take it for what it's worth

Get outta here with logic or sense. This here is tRant!

As for Dobbs sitting, the reason for that was because he and his family were promised a redshirt last year and the coaches were trying to keep that promise. Dobbs had specifically asked for one post-Spring. We'd tried to RS him the year before but injuries killed that plan as they did last year. I wish we'd played him sooner but no one had any idea he'd be THAT improved from the year before -- he'd been inconsistent and sailing passes in practice but once he did play he turned out to be a gamer.

At this point, I'm fairly sure I could write your posts for you. That's never good. At least be creative.

Wanna get as many blows in as they can before 9/26. You won't hear much from them after that.

His in-game coaching is awful... He'll start winning more games bc of talent level, but when all things are equal he's mediocre. Deboard was a snoozer hire that could backfire.

Excuse me if I don't take any analysis from you seriously. Pretty much everything you've tried to pretend to know about has been completely wrong.

Remember when you said Butch couldn't recruit QBs? That was funny

It is embarrassing when you get beat like that by ole miss though. I mean, that's a program that has never had a 10 win regular season in their entire history.

Ask me after this season.

FWIW, elite coaches at top programs usually turn their programs around in a big way during their second year. Pete Carroll at USC, Saban at LSU and Alabama, Meyer at Florida, Stoops at Oklahoma and Tressel at Ohio State all made huge jumps in year #2. People can say it's too early but usually you see some signs early in a coach's tenure that the program is going to make a big leap forward. I haven't seen it yet.

And that Butch's job hinged on the performance of Ferguson. Dude is a fricking fool.
