Good morning, All.

Couple of random thoughts on where Bama might go personnel-wise.

1. Today is the last day for Bama and Texas players to transfer. I think it is in the best interest of both the programand student-athletes for the following to exit: Antonio Kite, Danny Lewis (don't need seven tight ends), Jaren Hamilton, Cole Adams (never did see the fit, was injured most of his senior HS season). We have way too many receivers. Maybe Shawn Murphy.

2. On3 predicts Earl Little to FSU. Hope they are wrong and he changes his mind and returns. Same with Terrance Ferguson. All other transfers out will ultimately help Bama by virtue of freeing up scholarships - including those above. Don't mean to be harsh, it is the reality of the s

3. Wishing Roydell Williams, and Jermain Burton well on their next steps, and am really happy Seth found a home at Ohio State. But am also in the camp that says it was time to move on.

4. Hope we sign Mincy today, but don't really see the fit for Daniel Hill. I had read he preferred South Carolina due to the easier road to playing time. If that's the case, he won't work here.

Have a great day, all !

I think some of your thoughts are a bit pre-mature…

Hamilton and Adams don’t need to go anywhere. Give them some time. WR is gonna need the depth.

Shawn Murphy looked great in his limited playing time. Again, we need the depth at MLB. He could even see himself in the 3 man rotation with Lawson and Campbell next year.

Keeping Little and Ferguson would be nice. Little’s impact is slightly minimized by Moore returning. Ferguson would need to be replaced by an OL from the portal.

Roydell needed to move on. I love that he bleeds Crimson, but he probably wouldn’t get the playing time next year with Miller, Haynes, and Young coming up. I think Riley and Hill are both great depth pieces next year. Hill is absolutely need for depth and could even play an H-back role. Everything I’ve seen has Hill CB pointing towards Bama, and I’m more than happy to add him.

Well stated, Crimson - and thanks for your insight. It is really helpful.

Glad to hear the positive comments on Shawn. I personally think your optimistic in where he fits in the depth chart, but if you're correct, it helps the defense. The common thread in all the players I put in my transfer out list was that none was as high as third string. I think we have a ton of depth at WR.

Who are your top WRs ? I know Nick and Tommy like to play six. I would rate them in order: Bond, Law, Hale(I know that's higher than some would have him), Prentice and then ultimately Williams. We still need to find room for Aeryn Hampton and Mbake, whether it be on offense or defense. Additionally, I think Niblack will be much more used next year. That is why - and as you say, I may be premature - I see Hamilton, Adams Lewis as redundant.

Again, thanks for sharing your insight ... very helpful.

Have a great day, Crimson !
