This is a much better point
But why did you post a bunch of NFL guys in the 2nd+ deal before??

As far as competing against billionaire alumni, imo that line of thinking is much more fear than fact. All those rich guys have had several years now to bid $10M, but haven't felt they needed to spend that much. They keep going up obviously, but we're still a good distance from $10M.

Also, if you take the absolute highest NFL ratio (60M/320M salary cap = 18.75% to one player) posted,we'd need about a 53.33M roster...probably coming soon, but still a good bit away from the 20-40M rosters today. And that's also with 53 guys vs 105...probably not going to be the same exact spend ratio as the NFL either.

I posted earlier but imo you'd need the equivalent of a Juan Soto free agency deal. A risk free perfect storm of extreme talent, a proven record, AND he can't go to the NFL yet.
