Florida's offense racked up points on mediocre cupcake defenses, but has been shut down by top notch SEC defenses plenty of times during Meyers tenure. In 05 and 06 Pre Tebow and Harvin look up the stats vs good defenses. It's horrible.

Yeah because UT has never embarrassed itself on the football field before.

Listen, I'm not saying that the Co-Def coordinators are going to be automatically awesome.

All I'm saying is that Charlie Strong is replaceable and that the current coaching staff is sound. If Austin is even average, the defense should still be pretty good, and by that I mean at least top 25.

Look at UF's defensive stats over the last 30 years. It doesn't really matter who the coordinator is, UF will have a decent defense based on talent alone.

But Heater has been on the staff for years and done a great job with the safeties and Austin has a great resume, so I don't see why UF can't maintain a top 25, maybe even top 15 uunit.

Yeah I love Strong and our defense was great under him but since he left SC our defense has still been pretty solid for the most part. UF will be fine on the defensive front.

2005 was Meyer's first year and he had nothing even close to what he needed to run his offense.

2006, UF was #23 in scoring offense, so what's the problem? They only lost once, and that game was full of flukey stuff.

2007-2009 was top 10 every year in scoring offense.

You = ignorant or stupid. I can't tell which yet.

Maybe if you tried to back up your BS with statistics I might be more inclined to agree with you...
