Chance to win, yes. But, I doubt any TRULY thought it would have been as dominant as it was.

I’m pretty sure he also had LSU going 11-1

And Ohio State would win rather easily against Alabama in the championship game last January.

T.W. Stallings had Oklahoma literally eating crow as a delicacy in the 1930s.

In a couple years after realignment, I expect it comes back in vogue and extends a bit south to TX

Not being able to shed his Auburn bias has him stuck with Danny Kanell.

Kanell isn't biased. He is a shock jock, troll. No way he believes the nonsense he spews. It is all for ratings and clicks. He plays the role of the heel vs all things SEC

The great debaters of cable sports like to double down. When you pay someone millions to express an opinion about something they have no more info on than anyone else there is often far too much ego involved to take back.

I thought the Dawgs had us covered this season

Dawgs thought that too! Can never rule out Saban, especially when playing Kirby.

He predicted Georgia to win and Georgia to cover the spread (-6.5). He doesn't really do score predictions since predicting the actual score to a college football game is fickle as frick.

Also, echo the OP's sentiment. I listen to every show Josh Pate puts out, his takes on everything CFB related are spot on.

My reading comprehension must have taken a dive today. It looks like you directly linked the two due their bias, which was my counterpoint. Kanell isn't biased, he is a troll

Haha no. I just meant that Sallee’s punishment by the karma Gods was to get stuck with the troll.

Not even. Anyone saying they predicted that outcome is just lying. Certainly a minority believed Bama had a puncher's chance, but the abslotute certainty of defeat expressed by many is what is leading to the mea culpas. It just wasn't even in their imaginations.

I had Bama to cover but not win and was expecting a lower scoring game like 28-24. It’s good to be wrong sometimes.
