I found this while searching something else. It's a little history about MSU and LSU.
This is really a great piece. LINK

Nice thanks! Even though LSU has its 6 titles, MSU has always had a name as a competitive program with stars like Will Clark and Rafael Palmero dating back to the early 80s

Good article. Brought back memories of the Bertman/Polk years. Skip always loved to troll the MSU fans by making fun of Starkville. One of my favorites was “ when we check into our team hotel in Starkville, I always ask for a room without a view”. LOL

Skip really had a lot of fun with Ron Polk. Some years back, some of the Msu fans had a thread on a message board and they were posting different quotes from Skip Bertman and it was hilarious. I remember one of them that went like this...
"He doesn't like talking about it much but Ron Polk has a split-level home in Starkville. ........it's a double wide and sits on a hill."

That quote from Bertman is hilarious. And still accurate. Love MSU, but Starkville is a shithole.

Starkville is an Indian word for "trailer park".

You can't be serious here. It's definitely not a metropolis, but for a college town, it definitely holds its own.
