This Happened For One Reason - They Didn’t Foresee The ACC Would Have 6th Ranked Champ

When they dreamed this up they envisioned the P4 conferences - Big 12, Big 10, ACC, and SEC - would all get their champion in the playoffs. Surely the champions of those four would be ranked. Then everyone has a seat at the table.
But 7-5 Duke screws it up by winning the ACC. And JMU and Tulane are both ranked ahead of them. So this season G5 schools get 2 slot instead of the 0 they deserve. Instead of one DEI team, now we have two. Everything woke turns to shite.
They will tweak the rules in the off season. It will be more fricked up next year.

Expand to a 16 team format and then use a BCS style computer system to select the entrants. Not entirely, but partially.

That was the best system we have had.
But there is so much more money in more games… until enough teams opt out and they can’t fill all the bowl games.

no more auto bids. no more G5 UNLESS they are top 12 or 16 in BCS rankings. hmmnnnnn
blow up committe. you need computers with the built in SOS AND a quality win metric like we had in early BCS also, this will favor sec teams big time. good. screw the rest.
i am good with a top 2 system because we were always top 2 when we made a natty game in 03, 07, 2011 and 2019.
shite has to be fixed. they made it worse.
