What do you expect Fisher to say?
"FSU quarterbacks coach Randy Sanders helped inflate the 6-foot-5, 230 pound Coker’s résumé when he told CBS Sports that he has “never had anybody with [Coker’s] size who throws it as well as he does.” Coker’s former coach at St. Paul’s High School in Mobile, Jimmy Perry, echoed Sanders’ praise when reached by ESPN last week, lauding Coker’s competitiveness and athleticism. Not only was he great at football, Perry said, he was one heck of a basketball player, too, earning All-Metro honors for his work at forward."
Also, ask Winston about him. He's said it, too.
Boys, y'all can whistle past that old graveyard all you want, but the guy's the real deal and you know it!

Jesus tap-dancing Christ. Sanders is the one that started this shite storm. That quote is from January when he was trying to help Coker find a new team.

And what about this article, Jethro? Anybody who says Coker ain't the real deal or the competition between him and Winston wasn't close is a simple minded fool...but that's something we already knew.
"Some of his Florida State teammates say it was a lot closer than outsiders might realize when Coker lost the starting job to eventual Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston.
"As a coach making that decision, I probably wouldn't have made it," FSU receiver Kenny Shaw said before the BCS title game. "I would probably play both guys because I just don't know how to do all that stuff, but it was really close because, if it's close to you as a player taking passes from a QB, then I know it's close for the coaches."
Winston is impressed with his physical abilities.
"Jacob is the only person I know that can throw off one leg better than anyone else," Winston said in California. "When you see him at practice, he loves to throw and he just had surgery on his knee. ... Me personally I think Jacob can go anywhere and start in any program."

Honestly Coker just needs to be serviceable and not screw up too much. I can't remember the last time Alabama put the weight of the offense on one individual's shoulders and it won't happen this year with Coker/Bateman. I'm more concerned with the OL & kicking game than I am about QB.

Quotes from his teammates?

No one has ever said he doesn't have a strong arm. It's the idiots buying into all the "he's an NFL QB" shite. The kid ran the Wing-T in high school. He's looked less than average in the little time he's been in and at times has looked downright awful. They hype surrounding him isn't justified.
eta: The good thing about Bama is y'all haven't needed a world-beater at QB to win NCs.

Former coach speaking in the QBs hometown, no way that any of his comments were biased.

I agree that quotes from coaches and teammates that like and are rooting for Coker can be discounted. But to be fair it isn't just coaches and teammates talking about his talent and potential, but scouts and draft experts as well.

Why would Fisher allow a QB with two years of eligibility to transfer, if he is as great as the Bammers claim. He knows Winston is a "Lobster Fest" away from having to start your #2 guy. Plus everyone knows Winston goes Pro after this year. Imagine if FSU loses to Bama with a QB you encouraged to transfer. I think Jumbo is smarter than that.

Not up to Fisher. He didn't "allow" anything.

I haven't seen anything from any NFL scouts. I've only seen his name pop up on draft lists which is the most ridiculous thing ever.

eta: And now the Mel Kiper article has been posted.

Why don't you and the other clown (LSUdm21) ask Mel Kiper?...or just read my latest thread?

This the same Mel that gets pissed when teams do not agree with his draft list.

Mel Kiper is a clown. How he still has a gig, I will never know.
