Go to Litton's and get a cheeseburger. Best damn burger I have ever had. I go there everytime I visit the S.O. there. Also Calhoun's by the river,it's good too

You might want to work on capitalization rules before you start with the grammar slams, junior. Just sayin'.

Food:
BBQ - Calhoun's. I have only been to the one at Turkey Creek, but I hear the one on the river is badass.
Burgers - Litton's. It was crazy the time I was there (day of the AU/UT game) but food was great.
Steaks - Ye Olde Steak House. Wife took me there for my birthday last year and it was really good.

Place to stay:
Depends on where you are working. There are several hotels in town/down by campus, or if you are on the west side there is a good number out around Lovell Road by the Turkey Creek shopping area.

Thanks man. About to drive up in a few hours from ATL. I am probably going to stay at the Hampton downtown and go to Calhouns and walk around campus. I have never been there before, so I will take the opportunity. Is school back in up there yet? I really have no sense of when anyone goes back to classes.

FYI...Henley Street bridge is closed for repairs although there's no reason to go that way other than Ye Olde Steak House.

Class starts a week from today.

I'm looking forward to the Knoxville trip this year. Booked a hotel room that is apparently within pissing distance of Gen. Neyland.

I want to start getting my agenda together now. There is apparently a pretty legit chapter of my fraternity, so we'll be stopping by and getting time-travel drunk.

Other than that...what should I do? I already plan on dropping in on this Calhoun's place, which I take to be a "Chime's of UT".

I'm going to Knoxville this year for the first time. Our group is having a party at Calhouns the night before the game.

I'm so looking forward to it. Have heard a lot about Calhouns from reading this board. Should be a blast. First time in Neyland as well. I'm getting Tennessee off my bucket list this year.

I haven't gotten the chance to go, but apparently Ruth's Chris has a killer happy hour. They have a little smaller and much cheaper versions of a lot of their dishes.

And yes, I'll always love Lousisiana, but Knoxville is a really nice place to live.

Except for the horrible allergies.
