Mass exodus from a program that's gone 11-11 over the past two years full of locker room problems because Orgeron stopped coaching and running the program after getting to the mountain top?
Okay. That sounds like good news. More room for people who really want to be there under Brian Kelly, the second winningest coach in college football over the past couple of decades.

5 star guys with terrible attitudes who have been me-me-me since their first day on campus are destined to fail. If they go to another program to promote themselves even more, they'll take that attitude with them. Its addition by subtraction. I'd rather have a 3 star with fight and desire than a 5 star who is entitled.
If anyone can absorb that attitude and change it, its Saban, of course. But, LSU is in transition. This year its better to lay a new foundation and let the guys who don't want to do the work and be there walk. I might feel differently if this happened 3-4 years from now, but for what is needed right now, I'm glad that Ricks left if he wasn't going to change and get with the program. Saban will force him into Alabama culture or he'll sit the bench, no doubt about that.
So, its a win-win, really.
