Don’t forget targeting and other reviews.

Fatigue typically leads to more injuries. Guys don’t have the opportunity to catch a breather between downs, they get more fatigued. More fatigue = sloppier form and injuries.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what that means but I'm drawing a blank. Or what anything you're suggesting means. Why will there be less time in between plays all of a sudden? How will fewer plays in a game equal more injuries? Three hour football games will equal more injuries than 4 hour football games. Gotcha. This is fascinating.

Some O's are running 80 plus plays a game. That's a lot of hits for OL/DL.

Never been a problem before? Or are they anticipating the future when playoff teams are playing 15-17 games a season?

Football is trying to get safer. They are changing the way people hit. In some ways they are legislating the game of football out of the game. This is yet another avenue. The fewer hits, the less damage to the body/brain. Hell, they are even practicing differently.

Just wait until the injuries start piling up from fatigue

Well surely they have injury time outs right?

What if the chain crew has difficulty getting correctly set? What if the ball spot takes longer than usual?

Seems like there is gonna be a lot of bullshite that's gonna end up costing teams precious seconds. I don't like this already.

Getting the ball out of bounds was a way to preserve time and now it doesn't even do that

The goal is to add more commercials while the total game time is about the same. I think they are averaging 5 minute shorter game time.
