3 losses including Vandy and the drubbing to an atrocious Oklahoma team should be disqualifying
And it would be if not for a shitty 12 team playoff.
We didn't ask for this terrible system.

If this years Alabama or Ole Miss makes the playoffs it just proves people right that said 12 is just too many teams.
The entire thing is a farce.
For every new game someone will claim now matters because of the playoffs, there are other games that have basically no meaning. And by that I mean games against the top teams.
So we've traded the games at the top having meaning so that games against 2 and 3 loss teams can have meaning.
It's ridiculous.
Does the SECCG have meaning this year? Nope. Texas and Georgia will be in regardless. So what is likely #2 vs #5 means nothing other than someone can get a bye.
And as people have been pointing out, not going to the championship game is likely just as great. Tennessee sitting at home and doesn't even need to play anymore while those 2 top teams beat each other and hopefully expose each other etc.
Ohio St vs Michigan yesterday didn't mean shite. In fact, Ohio St is actually better off because of it. Still going to make the playoffs, and now they don't have to play in the championship game.
And that's without mentioning all the teams playing shitty schedules, losing to the only good teams they play and still making the fricking playoffs because of records.
100% of which is not only predictable, but was predicted over and over.

You have a huge problem if your head coach is starting the only player keeping your team from being in the driver's seat.

Bama is out, none of the losses next weekend move Bama up
How far would SMU fall if they lose to Clemson? If 5 or more spots, then they would drop behind Alabama and out of the playoffs. Conversely, how much would Clemson rise? Five spots would put them at 12. They would have an automatic bid, so they would likely bump an at large team out. The worst scenario is that SMU loses and stay in the top 10. That would give the ACC two playoff teams, and likely bump an SEC team out.
Regardless of who wins the Big 10 and SEC championships, the losers likely won’t fall out of the top 10. So that won’t impact anything other than seeding.
The winner of Arizona State and Iowa State will clinch the Big 12’s only bid, both teams are outside the top 12 but the winner will likely enter the top 12 and bump an at large team out, but they would do that anyway.
It will be interesting to see the committee’s rankings, but so far they have largely mirrored the coaches poll.

So you think Alabama has a better option than Milroe on the bench? A team has to have a quarterback. What if Milroe, who is projected as the #3 QB in the upcoming draft, is the best option Alabama has? Why is it a problem if a coach starts the best quarterback option he has?

If Georgia loses to Texas, they're out.

Bama may have more talent, but SCar is playing better and more consistently, regardless of the head to head results.

I have no idea. Who is to blame if not, though?
And do you think an incoming freshman is going to do better?

Good points. So if he is the best, then why is losing him going to put Alabama back in the driver's seat?
