Coaching salaries and guarantees across the board are absurd, but A&M, UofSC and UT are ahead of the pack. I can at least see a semblance of logic in A&M spending big on a prayer that Jimbo could work the same magic he worked for a couple of years at FSU. But what UofSC and UT paid for their coaches is a firing offense for the AD, no questions asked and no excuses needed.

Head coaches and pro athletes have a shitton more leverage than most other employees.

That's why they get the sweet contracts they do.

And that's why Saban and Belichick have all those trophies and you and I do not.

Won national championship. Leveraged that for money in a state with no income tax. Oh well it is just A&M

Dude, that was our AD

The new narrative is that Woodward was thinking five steps ahead by saddling A&M with Jimbo. LSU never really wanted Jimbo in the first place. It was all a clever ruse to bankrupt Aggy.

While i dont believe Woodward plotted that far ahead, I do think the Jimbo thing was overblown because of our resident DALSU.

I mean if you wanna go out and get a NC winning coach from another blue blood, you gotta pay the man.

I can't think of any other coach like that taking less.
