I know a friend of a son of an LSU fan that says refs can be bought. Mizzou should look into that.

Not really the point. Even if it is true, your cousin telling you something that he heard from his roommate, who heard it from his dad, who heard it at work is not very likely to be true.
I understand where you're coming from. But its the son of a head coach and that head coach recruits against and competes against these other schools, so even if the statement is just his perception, its still noteworthy in that regard because he does talk to recruits and hear what other schools they are considering and why.
The details given about the head coach in question ranting to his team at halftime of a game about how much he despised the opposing coach's cheating ways and how he didn't want Mizzou to lose to such a dirty coach and they therefore needed to get it in gear were interesting. Could it have been a cornball tactic to try to fire the team up? Sure. But if Mizzou was doing the same level of "cheating" (which was never defined for me) for its own players as the opposing coach was for his, it wouldn't make for a very good pep talk.

So your inside source to Missouri's non-cheating is the family member of a current Missouri coach.
Sounds legit

Historically, LSU and Vanderbilt are the least-penalized teams in the SEC.
