That may be, but a bad win is foreshadowing of a bad season.

Florida's win was never in question unlike a lot of other teams

They are one of the worst teams though.. no one should have it in question versus them

Sometimes. In 2008, for example, UF started slow.

They beat Hawaii (a bad team that year) 56-10, but a number of those scores were on defense and special teams. The offense was actually not all that spectacular and was shut out in the first quarter. UF only scored 14 offensive points in the first half, and then had struggles against Tennessee where they only scored 9 in 3 quarters against a mediocre Miami team and then only scored 23 against Tennessee, followed up by a loss at home to Ole mIss.

Then they woke up, slaughtered everyone, and the rest is history.

In 2009 they won the first game 62-3 and the 2nd game 56-6, but of course went on to have huge offensive issues all season.

I could come up with a ton more examples from multiple teams, but my point is, it's one fricking game that included:

1. Brand new QB
2. Callaway and Powell both missed spring practice, and parts of fall camp, with injury or legal issues. Neither had been on the field together with their new QB all that much, so they had to get used to each other. The rest of the starters were either injured or out on suspension, so that left UF with two true freshmen in their first game getting most of the reps.
3. A first half monsoon that left everyone, including the field, extremely wet. Del Rio admitted the dampness impaired his ability to throw, although he still completed 66% of his passes for 256 yards and 2 TD, not bad for your first start, and that included a few drops from his receivers, which again can happen on a wet field.

Given all of that, although no one was happy, I'm not ready to panic at this point.
