I suppose a pledge could tell the actives of the fraternity to f off and dress however they want to but the pledges just go along with it because it's tradition and it's not that big of a deal to begin with.

They could if they didnt want to be a member of the frat.

no one wears a coat and tie after pledgeship, but most people that attend sec universities dress up to games. its just the way it is.

I know there are dumbasses still out there that believe they need to wear slacks and a button down to make themselves feel special. I'm not going to work, I'm going to watch a football game. shorts and a polo are fine.

I hope the sorority dress by Alabama students never changes.

It was like a nice little slice of heaven.

It is true. I considered a frat my freshman year just to get laid more.

I decided no one was going to make me do anything as a pledge after seeing some of my buddies have to swallow their pride to rush.

My pride does not get swallowed and I was doing fine in the firend and girl department, hence no reason to be a lil frat boy.

How does this make us dumbasses or trying to make ourselves feel special? I wore this to the bama game and I was comfortable as hell.

That was one of the wonderful things about having to dress up when I was in a fraternity. I didn't like having to dress up but it was awesome when my date and all my pledge brother's dates would be decked out in their dresses/sundresses and we all loaded up on the charter buses for Legion Field. Those bus rides were a blast as (coolers/alchohol) were allowed on the buses.

ZZ Top's lyrics are absolutely true too. Girls are crazy about a sharp dressed man. I got the most action when decked out for formals and games.

I find it fricking hilarious that people give two-shits what other people wear to football games.

If the frat's want to wear what they wear...then WHO GIVES A frick?

As someone who was NOT in a frat, the frat hate confuses the frick out of me.

Obviously not directed at you, OneMoreTime. Just needed a place to reply.

I was a pledge, I dressed up, I did all that shite. But after, why the hell do I need to wear pants and button downs in 100 degree weather in September because I have a date to the game? They can dress up, not me.

Well, I for one can assure you that I give more than two-shite about what those chicks were wearing. Those clingy dresses with the boots? And the yoga pants with tight sweaters?

Much better than the Wrangler jeans and oversized jerseys and tennis shoes.

Well I don't wear pants and a button down to games in September because I don't hate myself, but I like dressing up a little for games.

Fair enough. I don't really get it, but that doesn't matter.
