Ref never shoved him off. Time in the video where you imagined this happening?

Lafell was on the ground in the pile for a full 5 seconds before Hitt even came in.

How was that a bad call? Players can't pull other players around after the whistle blows.

lol

It happens all the time. It happens on fumbles when players are trying to get into the pile. And, it happens on plays like this one.

Have you ever seen that called a personal foul?

0:16 mark the ref puts his hands on 65... I dunno if that's Hitt but I was assuming it was... kid doesn't stop and ref throws flag.

Play with discipline.

Holy hell, LSU fan arguing for Les Miles not playing Shepard yesterday. (On Scoreboard of course)

frick the Capitol One and those refs. I hope we don't go there again even if they do get new turf.

I liked the bowl game, just the better team won yesterday. Refs were shitty on both sides not just one.

Even without the refs deciding they should take the game into their hands and offer it to PSU throughout, that field is a joke, and the game starts at noon. I'd take the Cotton Bowl over that shithole any day.

Game has always started early
Field has never been an issue till this year because of cold and rain

Refs did not decide the game, there should have been off setting penalties at the end. That still would have put LSU at the 45 with 25 seconds left and no time outs. Considering how the field was LSU would have had to pick 20-30 yards to go for a field goal. Also considering Jefferson let 10 seconds run off clock before next snap that is no sure thing for it to have happened. No is a field goal 100% on that field.

I don't buy that at all, it's a field and the weather is usually bad, plus the stadium is bush league at best. Cotton Bowl is easily preferable to that garbage.

It's never 100% on any field, but we'll never know b/c the refs thought they should take the game into their hands, which i see you approve of.

Jefferson was upset at the refs for not throwing the flag and took his helmet off...lucky that wasn't flagged. I think that was the reason for all that time ticking off.

Jefferson reminds me of Nomar, watch him in shotgun he has a rotation he goes through. Wipe Hands on Pants, lick fingers, look to both sides of field, clap twice, then snap the ball.

Was something I noticed earlier in year he does that when he gets into a shotgun formation and I do not know why.

Personally, I don't like or dislike either team a whole lot so fairly objective. I hope we kick either teams arse when we play them, but none the less. My take:

I don't blame the PS player for doing what he did (good play on his part if you get away with it), but the refs blew it. It was either a no call or a call against PS. Any other call is ridiculous. What the LSU player did is what the refs should have ALREADY done based on the circumstances. It was a raw deal for LSU, but truthfully, they shouldn't have called that play in the first place. Nonetheless, the penalty was a HUGE injustice.

I like the muddy field, 2 teams just beating each other up. Reminds me of watching NFL Films and you see 2 teams pounding it out. Play in rain/mud/cold/snow anything.

Shepard not being used at all was a travesty. You do not leave a play maker on the bench the entire time.

It is Hitt.. Not even sure the ref ever touched him. You were talking like the ref physically moved Hitt from the player and he went back to it Spin job...

At the very worst it was a no-call. Not a gamebreaking 15 yard penalty. We would have had 20 seconds left and needed 10 yards to be in FG range. That's enough time to run 2-3 plays and spike the ball, easy.

Not easy... One only has to point to Ole Miss

Also, LSU was on 45, say they get 10 yards, do you trust a 40+ yard field goal on that field?

LSU has a very good kicker. I'd give him a 50/50 chance.. which is far better than what we ended up with.

Chances go up nearly exponentially with every additional yard gained.. so say they get 15 instead of 10? They'd even have the option of taking a shot downfield against a team playing the short pass.

Basically.. we didn't get jobbed out of the game. We just got jobbed out of the chance to win it.
