most of which comes from the city of Louisville, and therefore UofL fans.
And Kentucky fans. At least one third of Louisville residents are Kentucky fans.

Considering that 65%-70% (not 50-50 like what UK fans want to believe) are UofL fans you're damn right they would. When UK tried to disband UofL there were plenty of protests and a lot of anger in Louisville, and at that point UofL didn't even have the fan support in Louisville that we do now.

Do you honestly think that the citizens of Louisville will stop carrying about their daily lives just because UofL didn't get funding?

I would agree with that, as long as you admit that almost 2/3 of Louisville are UofL fans and it's not 50 - 50 like you all try to portray.

USA Today says differently. 57 percent of those polled said they cheer for the Cardinals, 33 percent for the Wildcats and 10 percent for other teams.

It's a somewhat large city. It's not just Kentucky and Louisville fans.

Considering the way our federal government is going down to tubes (with both parties to blame) I wouldn't be so quick to say that. It might not happen soon, but it might eventually happen. I really think that the next major civil war in this country will be the cities vs. the country areas, you're already seeing it.

I know. They're all like this too. We've tried to tell people.

Good for them. They still have to get income (which is taxed), buy things (which is taxed), and own property (which is taxed). Unless all of these fans decide to suddenly move then I don't really see a whole lot happening to hurt the state economy.
Yes, the University does provide an economic boost, but the city had its own economy/industry before UofL became prominent.

As a Florida fan i appologize to all of the SECRant for you having to put up with treads like this. This is exactly why you can't screw around and lose to a Mid-Major football program.

You're forgiven, Matt. Thanks for realizing the impact you have on the rest of us.

And several Courier-Jourial polls (which I would take over USA Today being that they are actually here) indicates that Jefferson County (the city of Louisville) is 60% UofL, 30% UK and 10% other, so that's what I go by. To me it seems right, UK has probably just a little less than 1/3 and UofL has just a little less than 2/3.
You all also conveniently never mention that UofL has a significant fan base in Northern Kentucky by Cincinnati, and have also increased our fan base out in the state, especially in Lexington, Elizabethtown, Owensboro and other parts of Western Kentucky. We will never have a very big fan base at all in Eastern Kentucky and we definitely don't mind that, you all can have them, but we will continue to grow our fan base in the Central and Western portions of the state.

Louisville fans are funny.

You realize that Kige is from Western Kentucky, right? There are just as many Kige like people in Western Kentucky as there are Eastern Kentucky. You can have them too.

We'll still be the big team in the state. It doesn't matter what you do.

Of course you would take a clearly biased source.

And theres some major revisionist history here too. The only part of the game that uf really sucked at that day more than normal was third down defense. Louisville had some clutch conversions and uf uncharacteristically had some blown coverages. But uf was murdering louisville on first and second down most of the day. It almost looked unfair on the los at times. I also though elam was ginna kill someone.

Good to see you believe that considering we'll be in the ACC next year. If Florida still think we're a mid major, then schedule us? We'll do a one time game in Jacksonville so you all have the home field advantage. Should be an easy victory like the Sugar Bowl right?

I especially appologize to the UK fans that our actions have caused this for you. Having to hear your little sister air out all your family's dirty laundry.

Ummm the Courier - Journal is a state wide newspaper you id*ot. If anything the Courier - Journal favors UK.
And yes I would take a local paper over a newspaper where the reporter who took the stats probably has never even lived in Kentucky.
