In Louisville, isn't it "troof"?
Seriously though, good luck this season. I'm sure you'll have the same success Utah had the season after they beat Bama.

Actually, the "economic engine" for the state of Kentucky is the "Golden Triangle" between Lexington, Louisville, and Northern Kentucky.
You didn't answer my question, do you agree or not agree (which I already know the true answer) that the state of Kentucky would be in a world of hurt without the city of Louisville? Do you have so much hatred for the city of Louisville that you can't admit that?
If you think Louisville isn't important to the state of Kentucky then that's fine, lets us do what we've wanted to do for year and let us join Indiana or secede and form our own city state.

I would put money down that if UofL and UF had faced 10 times last year that UofL wins 8 out of 10.

You are right that we talked too much and the team didn't back it up. Again congrats on the win, you deserved it. Don't let it go to your head, on any given year, 10 of the 14 SEC teams would beat UL.

I couldn't care less about how important Louisville is to the state of Kentucky. I live in Atlanta. My only concern is the city of Atlanta.
Your own city state? Holy frick, you are one dumb son of a bitch.

Except I'm not trashing the state that has given us the bonding to build it. Or the city of Lexington.
Glad to see that UofL deductive reasoning is in full force here.
Say what you want BluegrassBelle, the fact of the matter is the state of Kentucky tried to shut down UofL and absorb it into UK when UofL came to the state of Kentucky system. The fact of the matter is that before the KFC! YUM Center the state of Kentucky had never given UofL anything in athletics, whereas the state of Kentucky has given UK EVERYTHING!!!
Only in Kentucky would the state government work so hard to hurt the main school in the state's biggest city. UofL has accomplished what it has DESPITE the state of Kentucky, not because of it.

I'm glad you feel this way, hopefully more UK fans will take this attitude and we can actually secede and join Indiana or form our own city state. Then you would never have to play us again and we can develop a good rivalry with IU, a team that doesn't cheat.

I don't know...it is my understanding that UAB gets fricked pretty hard by the UA BoT.
Also, Kentucky is the state school. It makes perfect sense for the state to give them shite tons of money. Louisville, not so much.

Of course, with Pitino as coach they would know the definition of cheating.
You do realize Pitino coached UK to a National Title in 96 and was a main reason you all won in 98 right? So essentially that once again UK cheated under Pitino, so technically you shouldn't count your 96 and 98 titles, priceless! So that just confirms that all of your titles were won by cheating, lol.

And that's the true hypocrisy LSU fan, the state gives UK tons of money, most of which comes from the city of Louisville, and therefore UofL fans. Think about it this year, if the state of Kentucky hurt the city of Louisville enough then that means less tax money for the state of Kentucky and therefore less money for uK.

You realize that the only "city state" in the US is Washington D.C., right? You also understand that the City of Louisville would never be allowed to secede from the state of Kentucky, because it requires approval from the state legislature, right? It's not up to the citizens of Louisville or the state of Kentucky.

That's a different situation, they really aren't screwing Birmingham because UAB is part of the Alabama system. It makes sense that UA would get more money since UAB is in essence just an extension of UA.
UK at one time did want UofL to become UK-L but thankfully we didn't allow it to happen. UK tried to take us out before we even became a threat. But the point is, unlike UA and UAB, UofL and UK are two totally separate institutions.

So in a way by screwing UofL and the city of Louisville they will hurt themselves!
You seem to be confusing the idea that fricking over UofL will actually result in the fricking over of the city.
Do you honestly think that the citizens of Louisville will stop carrying about their daily lives just because UofL didn't get funding?
edit: had to fix the quote because I've been on reddit too long...

Don't be too surprised, Northern Colorado as we speak is trying to secede from Colorado. Most people in the city of Louisville don't care for the state of Kentucky and vice versa. I'm sure Indiana would be more than willing to support us and receive the benefit of our tax money.
Even if we can't, we will continue to outperform and do less with more, which in reality is even more satisfying, knowing that we outclass UK even though UK has the state in their back pocket. You might have the money UK, but money doesn't bring wins.
