quote:Bella Fresca is very good - my favorite food in town is the Village Grille if you're looking for very upscale. A fair warning for either place - you'll get to know your fellow diners very well. You can basically slide your drink from your table to theirs without it hitting the floor.
Best food in town is Bella Fresca.
For a good, but not terribly overpriced meal, I'd go Superior Steakhouse. It also has my favorite bar in town, with some great T&A.

ever, ever, under any circumstances, not even if someone with a cowboy hat and a trusting face tells you that the Rockin’ Rodeo is a good time, go over the Red River into Bossier. They are going to entice you with tales of less random gun violence and a Bass Pro Shop, but don’t fall for their clever ruse. It’s nothing but tramp stamps, paternity tests, and airborne herpes over there. Avoid it at all costs.
Rockin Rodeo used to be Cowboys back in the day, and was a helluva place to party. This was 30 years ago, however.

Ate once at a place called "Charlie's of N.O." or something along those lines?? Not that far from the casino, with a race track decor in one of the two main rooms. Great food ! But as a warning to the aggies, last time my son, a La.Tech student, went to a game at Indy Stadium, the cops were all over underage drinkers.
