Seems like California stud players either go east to the big boys or Oregon these days. There's really no reason USC can't have a loaded roster if they'd at least match what Oregon is offering $$$.

I would say that the SEC & Big Ten are pretty much dead even in quality programs.
They have won the last 2 National Titles while we didn't even make it to the title game.
