LSU beat South Carolina
who beat Georgia
who beat Florida
who beat South Carolina, LSU and
Texas A&M
who beat Alabama
who beat LSU
who beat Texas A&M

It's not really a down year when you're gonna have the best team in the country and 5 others who are in the top 10.

As in, there is not a completely dominant Team A from the West and Team A from the East

A down year in the SEC is any year in which the conference doesn't make it into the National Championship game..so by default, that would be, until proven otherwise, 2012.
