It's pretty close, as is reflected by the head-to-head record, and how close the games have been.

Thing is, Miles can and will pull a rabbit out of his hat sometimes. Saban, not so much.

Who cares???
They are both great coaches
Saban is at 'Bama
Miles is at LSU
I love what Saban did for LSU but he's gone...let him go, we have a good coach
Miles continues to prove the LSU rantards wrong and keeps winning and the rantards will never get over it.
'Bama being good makes us have to be good and vise-versa.

Miles hasn't won anything in 3 years. He has to prove he can make it back to Atlanta again before he can be crowned the best anything.

Saban is like a cruise missile.

Les is like a 3 year old with a hand grenade.

Both can kill you but one is way more unpredictable. To be honest unpredictable is pretty freaking entertaining.

Im pretty sure if we count all the times threads like this have been started, we could hold a world record for most threads about the same exact thing.

Both great coaches with very different styles. If I couldn't have one I'd be just fine with the other. These posts DO NOT represent what a vast majority of tigers fans spend time thinking about. Personally I think that the saban v miles thing is way in the past. It was cool the first 2 years but that was it. I look at it as a LSU v BAMA thing now, which is exactly what it is. I'm glad saban is at bama because it makes that game the best conference game in the nation most years. (not best rivalry game, but best overally two teams playing game)

dumb thread is dumb.

I think Saban is the better coach, but at least LSU doesn't have to be humiliated before they can get up for games.

At what point this season do LSU fans turn on Miles? It's an annual thing.

I'm an LSU fan, but not a homer. I would take Les. I have gained a lot of respect for Les. He is dedicated to LSU and we do not have to worry about rumors every year about him leaving. I like his goofy arse

Exactly. He's really grown on me,

I remember these debates from a few years ago. I was always a Miles man. I just like him more. A guy I could hang out with. Nick wasn't. I just find it funny how all these postera ,who were probably some of the hoard of posters who used to predict failure for Les, want you to "leave it alone". Lol, if you were one of those Les haters back then and you are in this thread, you are a know -nothing, and should not be allowed an opinion.

First i am an LSU fan. I think both are great coaches in their own way. I belive Saban is a better coach for game day and maybe a little edge on recruiting. Miles has the respect of his players in a real way. They will do anything for him. The program is clean, we have good graduation rate, he is a good recruiter and the bottom line is that he wins. just in a different way. He letting ryan perilloux go set the QB position back 2 years. It did not allow JJ or JL to develop. Despite this he has the tigers looking at a possible NC. I take Miles mainly for his character and the WANT to stay at LSU.

Why does it have to be a competition? They are both great coaches imo. Besides, both are not done coaching with at least a few more seasons for both so the argument is premature.
