They also have like an extra 10 million people.

Didn't Florida and Texas play like a series of games a while back?...I don't remember how everything went, but I do remember a little rinky dink 2A Florida school beat y'alls top division champion.

I'm guessing this is some sort of "inside baseball" thing around here, but you sound like a tard, brother.

You have been beaten like a piñata all day here. Hang ‘em up and start fresh tomorrow. You won’t fare much better I’m afraid

It was on display this year...Who was Texas' ONLY explosive playmaker this year, what class year was he, and where is he from. *JEOPARDY music playing*

We've had a bunch of receivers drafted from Texas the last couple years. We had another 5* receiver from Texas, but he's made of glass and got hurt again.

Tom Herman also didn't really recruit that type of player. He was in the size camp, not the speed camp. Devin Duvernay got wasted a bit in our offense.

Texas produces lots of good skill players, but not so many elite linemen

I tend to agree Proportionately, not as many linemen or backers I’d blame 7 on 7 but everyone is doings that now

Only because of population.

Per capita, there are quite a few states ahead of Texas.

Doing a bit of napkin math, these numbers don’t add up as much as I would like them to.

Unless this is all time.

So skipping over 5 pages of a pissing match of wether or not TX high school football is overrated or not....

Maybe thats why we got the #1 DT from Tenessee, #2 DT from Florida, DE from Pennsylvania, RB from Louisiana, several kids from Louisiana, and even a TE from Sweeden.

So even if you are right, Jimbo has already been bringing a lot of kids from out of state (11/27). Thank you for the interest in our program

Yeah, definitely, it's a good idea, Jimbo's a smart guy, I'm sure he understood this...Look, I'm not dumb enough to think Texas has zero talent, or that it's all overrated, the very top guys in Texas tend to pan out at a fairly high rate, and you've got a few gems that turn into stars, it's just these recruiting services telling you that Texas has 50+ 4-5 stars every year has these schools thinking they can win championships with just in state talent, you can't...They ONLY time that's ever happened was Texas in 05', and it was because they had a transcendent Quarterback and played a Pac 10 team in the Championship...If Jimbo's strategy is to take the very tippy top guys from Texas, and 10+ animals from SEC country, he's going to be very, very successful.

You’re right but it’s because the coaching in TX high school football is so good. A senior in Texas HS football is a lot closer to his full potential than a senior in Louisiana because he’s been coached up so he looks better on tape. In reality the Louisiana player has a higher ceiling with college coaching.

This is a fairly deep, and accurate assessment.

Yeah that's the one that hit it EXACTLY on the head...It's what Deion Sanders said, these Texas kids, at an average, aren't as physically gifted as kids from the Deep South...But they have such good coaching, and such top of the line training and facilities, that they max out every ounce of their potential in high school, and look like a million bucks playing high school football...Problem is, when they get to college they're already a finished product, and that "project" from from Florida, or Louisiana, or Mississippi, who is finally receiving the elite coaching and training they got in high school, just blows right past them.
