There aren't nearly as many elite athletes in Texas HS football every year as the recruiting services try and get you to believe...This may come off as offensive, but it's true, I have never seen so many "4 star" white wide receivers come from anywhere else but Texas.

Are recruiting services racist? Are the 2 white kids in the top 250 2 too many?

Landon Sampson is 3* headed to the USCe. Try again.

The only 4* I recall recently is Chapman at A&M who went jihad on the gators before he injured his knee.

So what's the Big 3's excuse nowadays then?
The state of TX has always had 8+ D1 schools dividing NFL MVP and HOF talent + the OK schools. The all-time out-of-state TX squad beats the DOG shite out of the same squad from FL.

He's prolly thinking of Cole Beasley.

People have made this thread on here and the more sports board before over the years and always seem to ignore that while Texas and Texas A&M have struggled or been average at best teams like OU Baylor and TCU have had multiple successful seasons over the years.

That was very impressive, really torched our defensive guru's stellar defense...It being a topsy-turvy year and not having a spring also was completely irrelevant.

Texas high school football talent is MASSIVELY overrated every year, and that's where the vast majority of their rosters come from.

Great point. So schools from out of state take heed and stay away from Texas kids.

Florida must be really overrated per your chart

Georgia too, can’t believe teams even recruit there!

Baylor got absolutely skull drug by UCF in a BCS game, "Big Game Bob" became a joke for a reason, and TCU did have a big win over an SEC team, I'll give them that.

Chapman has been injury prone his whole time at A&M. If I'm not mistaken he's had 2 knee surgeries and 1 shoulder surgery at least.

How are you gonna pretend like Texas has always divided talent with Baylor?

Where we are going to differ here is I'm not going to define teams and programs by one bowl game because we both could do that disingenuous nit picking all day.

For example that Baylor team you're downplaying beat an OU team that beat nick saban and Bama by two scores. But that's just dumb. UCF was good. Baylor was good. OU was good.

Good teams play each other and someone has to lose.

Mike Evans would argue that.

I'm talking cumulative talent across all the other schools in TX really - but off the top of my head -Corey Coleman, RGIII, Mike Singletary, Gerald McNeil, Josh Gordon, Ray Crockett, Santana Dotson, Lache Seastrunk would make any A&M or TU squad better...

Let's throw in Fred Miller and Xavier Howard too...

Skill position players from Texas are often overrated because of the style of offenses and coaches that have overtaken the 5A and 6A classifications

Our QBs, OL and defensive players are legit though. Texas produces more NFL QB and OL talent than anyone by a wide margin. Something like 20% of NFL starting OL this year attended HS in Texas. Almost every team in the league has a starting OL in any given year from Texas on average.

If you made a college team of the best Texas talent you’d win the national championship every year without fail. So… you’re dumb.

And also, 6A football in Texas is by far the highest level of high school football in the country. The 10th best 6A team in Texas would win state in 40+ states most years. An all-state team comprised of 6A players would beat a lot of G5 FBS schools.
